  1. I think there's been at least two listed for sale of late and all sold in a matter of days. You're best looking in the Milling Forum if you're after a used Mill.
  2. Are you leading by example and showing others that a life can exist outside of capitalism? How do you go about this? An explanation here could help others emulate you. Or are you telling others to do as you say and not do as you do? Or perhaps you're running to be an MP where you could make a real difference? Because surely you're not whining and moaning about Capitalism whilst living a Capitalist lifestyle? Surely your not that much of a hypocrite, right?

  4. Norway at least is very capitalist, but with a good welfare state. The Law of Jente is ever present in Scandinavia. Law of Jante - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG I feel its somewhat of a rule of Envy but it does maintain somewhat of a balance. But to say there is not a disproportionate share of wealth is somewhat naive. You just have to walk around Stavanger, Bergen or Oslo to see people living like Sardines in Flats almost next to multi Million Pound Water Front Houses. The Top 10 richest people in Norway are; John Fredriksen net worth $100 Billion Dollars. Olav Thon net worth $6 Billion Dollars Odd Reitan net worth $5 Billion Dollars Stein Erik Hagen net worth $4.7 Billion Dollars Johan H Andresen Jr net worth $3.2 Billion Dollars Johan Johannson net worth $3.1 Billion Dollars Andreas Halvorsen net worth $2.8 Billion Dollars Arne Wilhelmsen net worth $2.4 Billion Dollars Kjell Inge Rokke net worth $1.8 Billion Dollars Petter Stordalen net worth $1.5 Billion Dollars. Thats just the top 10! All Billionaires in a country with around population of under 6 Million. Hardly a socialist utopia. I dont think they have a socialist mindset, they just want and pay for a good welfare state. That does not make them Socialist. Wages vary greatly in Norway, I pay almost as much tax in Norway than I would in Scotland, but I get far more back out of the Norwegian System that in reality its far cheaper for me to pay tax in Norway than it is in the UK. But the small Nordic countries like Norway, Denmark and Sweden who pay if anything slightly more tax than we do in Scotland (Denmark pays more than Norway and Sweden) but have a much better Welfare state do so for a number of reasons, one obviously being the population size, the second is the populations mindset towards healthy eating and exercise. In the Uk, Scotland at least you can lead a Horse to water but clearly we cant make the people drink. Even the top 10 rich in Sweden is quite staggering; Ingvar Kamprad. $42.5 Billion. Stefan Persson. $25 Billion. Birgit Rausing. $13 Billion. Hans Rausing. $12.8 Billion. Antonia Johnson. $8.5 Billion. Melker Schorling. $5.5 Billion. Jorn Rausing. $5.4 Billion. Frederik Paulsen. $5.2 Billion. Fin Rausen. $5.1 Billion Kirsten Rausing. $5.1 Billion.
  5. You're dreaming if you think thats ever gonna happen. Its naive wishful thinking. I'm not saying your completely wrong, a lot of the points you raised in your earlier post I tend to agree with, but man is simply too greedy to change his ways. Generally most former Communist Countries are now full swing Capitalists in all but name. These countries ie China, Russia etc are raping the world far more than the West is. Then add to that the likes of India and other vastly over populated hell holes and what we're doing is small change in comparison. So what model would you suggest Capitalism is replaced with? And it has to be a realistic one, not an idealistic one.
  6. Mark was right, you work for Foot Massages.
  7. Fixed your post for you. Lets just leave it at that shall we?
  8. Yet we have an NHS, just think about that. Regardless who you are, what your income is, whether you choose to earn a living or not you have free at the point of use world class health care, all courtesy of Capitalism and Capitalist Countries. Do you actually have any solution's other than constant whining?

    Booze

  10. Early Communism was bad and it still is, Where is it actually good? Oh thats right, 'good' communism not been tried yet. Early Capitalism was not great yet its where the world wishes they could live and immigrated to for the opportunities it offered. Its still not great, but its the best we have by a long shot. Slavery was a very bad period of history, lets call that period of history 10,000BC to 2020 CE, because its clearly still happening today, just not so much in Capitalist Countries. We should keep in mind Commie Countries had Slavery too, each and every member of their populations plus all the actual slaves they made use of, as much so if not more than the West. And Who sold the Slaves to the East and the West? Surely they are as much to blame as the recipients? But the West has strives to make advancements, we're still the chosen destination of many in the 3rd world. So is Capitalism the answer? Churchill sums it up nicely I think?
  11. Hey Will, I could be interested yes. I thought it was Road Tow Capable but I assume its not? Very interested in a price though. Here or PM, no Cloak and Dagger stuff with me.
  12. You edited your post simply to add almost the same message but in big bold capital letters? And in Red in case anyone missed it? Im getting the opinion the only person who thinks you're a 'Top Chippy' is your Son.
  13. I literally have nothing else to do. But arguing the toss with a Commie uses very little brain cells so I can peruse my book at the same time and hardly lose my train of thought. And a nice hotel room they’ve put me up in this time.
  14. Ah thats right! It was the 'wrong' type of Communism that equally killed the millions and millions of Commies. But we need to experiment again right? Because if we dont get it right next time then, whoops! Right? Millions more dead, but then, we're absolutely sure, we get Communism right, right? But one more oopsie? Who's counting?
  15. Come on Les! Its been a few days since you told us all how great a Joiner you are. Can you remind us again of your mastery? It makes for a great bedtime story.
  16. You know when you've lost your argument? When you have to use a series of photos around 100 years old. Equality killed millions and millions in the Russia, China, Pol Pots Cambodia, and North Korea to name a few. Funny how you're not using any pictures of them all equally dying of starvation to vainly attempt to prove your ideology.
  17. I know Im being somewhat factious but Im genuinely asking you what your beef is with inequality and you're telling to google the dictionary definition. So thats all I can reply on if you refuse to enlighten me further. Id really like a night in the pub with you and a few other like minded guys from here. @Big J for one, @eggsarascal @topchippylesis another few off the top of my head. Im sure we'd avouid punching ach other for a few hours. Im not very well educated either, Im not sure you had to guess that though. I stopped going to School at 14 and my poor mum had to go to a Childs Court because of that. I left completely at 15 and had to go back for my exams when I was 16. But like you I like to read and I have a passing interest in History as well, and like you I like to think Im a grafter. So we make the best of the opportunities that present themselves to us. You may have had better opportunities offered to you and vice versa I dont believe its possible to put laws in place to ensure we both had the same opportunities. And as mentioned before there is countless examples of rags to riches millionaires in the UK. Disproportionately amongst immigrants who seem to laugh at us Brits who whine and complain about the opportunities we feel we have and they just swoop in and take full advantage of that. As an empirical anecdote my Brother in London works for a Polish Lad who came over to the UK with the clothes on his back and as a Labourer on building sites and now runs a multi-million pound Construction Firm. My Brother manages the Public Sector side of the Business and I repeatedly tell him he is selling himself short for working for £50k in London, but his boss keeps him sweet with bottles of £100+ whiskys and other gadgets. I have to tell him why do you think he'd bribing you with these gifts. If you truly believe you can change the world then be the change you think you can make. I think its a crock of sheet myself, much like Karma is a concept the weak use to justify doing nothing in retaliation, they'll just repeat to themselves Karma will catch up with the offender. I belive we can all make small differences if we really wanted to, collectively we could make a difference but we're all to lazy and greedy for that. Where was the device you connect to here made? Where was the clothes on your families backs made? Who harvested your fresh produce? How ethical is the meat and eggs you eat? You talk of making a change but if we're honest with ourselves we dont truly and deeply care enough to stop using these consumer goods. We'll fine one reason or another to justify it and invariably that will come down to blaming others. The rich no doubt? Its far easier to lay the blame and guilt at their door than our own.
  18. So status, rights and opportunities is the issue is it? Millionaires are generally referred to as Mr or Mrs. So is someone on a sink Estate. So that Status covered. We have the same rights as a Millionaire and we even get free legal cover should we be so poor as to not afford our own. Thats two covered! I guess that leaves opportunities? We'll you got me there! No one will ever have the exact same opportunities, ever. There simply is not the mechanism that exists to make that happen. Thankfully there is plenty of rags to riches Millionaires out there to prove you dont need to have the same opportunity's as everyone else to make it in this world.
  19. Sure it is, but there is equality and inequality in different contexts. In this instance could you define what the inequality you speak of is, please? Its difficult to argue the toss of we're on a different wavelength. For example you may be highly unintelligent and I may have a below average IQ, that would be an equality would it not? You may earn significantly more then I do, again an inequality. Are these some the inequalities you speak of? If so how would you address these glaring inequalities? Should you hand over a portion of your hard earned income to me to create an equality in what we earn? Where on earth would be start with an inequality of intellect? Maybe Tesla had a point in that regard, huh? Are you suggesting Eugenics is the answer here?
  20. The link you just attached via your capitalist, massed produced yet affordable device does not seem to be working.
  21. Pinko Commies are always wrong. We just have to look at your rank hypocrisy to see that coming.
  22. I'll assume with all the cloak and dagger regarding the selling of the Mill you'll not want to disclosed the selling price, but I assume it held its value very well?
