  1. Thats the plan! Also looking for a Road Tow Log Processor, so gotta watch the pennies.
  2. Interesting feedback, cheers. They are quite pricey though. You never know, I might find a bargain. Ive got 5 weeks to find something before I come home.
  3. Ohhh, interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out for them too then.
  4. Guess I'll be looking for a used C8 then, cheers guys.
  5. Les wast intentionally being a dick so I reciprocated. He's a big boy, he can handle it. I was purely discussing Oak and Oak prices til Less started to get antagonistic. I'll happily play it out either way, makes no odds to me. There is an ignore function, please use it.
  6. Yet again another post that makes sense to you and only you. I’ll be making quite a few dollars today, and I’ll not even have to leave my hotel room to do so. I’d hazard a guess I’ll make more than you without even leaving my bed. ? If ever there was a pretender it would be the man who claims to be the “top” Chippy. More autistic nonsense. No run along and clap your hands together like a seal with all the other Reets.
  7. My bed in pine, Leslie. If this tree was made into a bed that would be great. My issue, if I had one, was this tree is not being made onto a bed but made into firewood. Are you a retard or something? Something tells me you’re autistic at the very least. Which is not vastly different.
  8. How anyone could consider ringing that up I don’t know? I’m not ashamed to say I get emotional just thinking about it. It’s simply a crime. Why does no one closer to home want it? I’d honestly buy it to save it being turned into firewood. Seriously.
  9. Wimper. No, I agree, they where planted to be harvested and harvested they are. What will they be used for? To just have a couple of tons of these majestic beasts would be a privilege. If there is anyway I could get even a few slithers of them let me know.
  10. Is there still any? Seems like a crime to sell for so little when you consider the history involved.
  11. Thats very odd. Hes very big in the Angus Area, Id say the biggest. Him (70's) and his son (50's) are at all the auctions but dont spend a bloody penny. Dressed in rags but both millionaires (supposedly) and still live in little cottages. If you want a full load of Oak he's your man. My Oak Framer mate gets his supply though him. But rarely does it stay in Scotland, for some reason the Guffies want our 'worthless' Scottish Oak. Maybe because Im a hobby Miller and have milled less that 40T of Angus Oak, but Ive rarely come across the issues you mention. Maybe Angus is not just Bridies and Steak? We're the secret gold mine of Slow Growth Scottish Oak? Just as well really, i have a few more Sandpit projects needing built.
  12. Thank you for the contact. It seems like the wagons all head south. I'll assume you know Ken Barclay? Seems like he sells most of his prime Oak over the boarder.
  13. Not gonna find me napping. My opinion is based in facts and figure's, yours seems to be based in emotion. Are you on your period? Your attempt to try and compare Tory and Labour incompetence just showed up your own and nothing else. Maybe you'd like to be reminded of the Labour note left to the Tories when they said there is no money left? Because selling the whole nations Gold was the biggest financial blunder in modern times. Thats if you actually see it as a blunder and not a cynical ploy to crash the £ and force the UK into joining the Euro. If you cant see what an absolute arse you've made of this comparison then maybe you should not be trying to wake and the best recourse is for you to keep on dreaming.
  14. What does that lean to a layman like me? 25 x f3 per ton? So if I pay £2.50 a f3 then Im really should be paying 25 x £2.50 for a ton? So £62.50? Does not seem to work out? The Haulier Ive recently been put in contact with (cheers @Big J )wants £125 a ton for Milling Grade Logs.
  15. Are you for real? £20m in medicine that might have worked, because currently nothing has been proven to. Its called hedging your bets. Trying to get ahead of the game. Sounds like you'd be the first Ball Bag moaning if the 'Malaria Drug' worked and they had not ordered any. Half of Europe, and the UK, had bought crap from Turkey and China that has proven to be worthless and unusable. Comparing this situation to the cold, hard calculation to sell off the British Gold Reserves, and not just sell them off but to advertise the fact and crash the market before hand is simply asinine and clearly your political ignorance shining through. Brown Sold this Gold at $275 an OZ and this generated £3.5B. Thats 3.5B at rock bottom give away prices. Its now trading at $1750 an OZ. You comparison is simply staggering in its ineptitude. The rest of your post was pure drivel, its not even worth remarking on. To be considered a greater degree of drivel that the first paragraph is astounding in itself. Well done for finding the bottom of the Barrel for today.
  16. That would make a lot more sense. One x m3 of Oak is about 750kg. For that I'd pay £75 if it was Milling Grade. So £40 a cube for that gnarly stuff sounds about right.
  17. You're getting £40 for 25kg? Thats simply mad for a Bunch of Logs? Have you already been paid? Thats £160 for 100kg. £1600 a ton???? Are you sure you have your figures right? Or have I? Ive had a few Whiskies now. Im paying 10 pence a kilo. £2.50 for 25kg, or 1f3 of Green Oak.
  18. Take it and run to the bank! Maybe the pics dont do what you have there justice, but I pay £100 a ton for Milling Grade Logs. A Haulier had a bunch for me at £125 a ton. What you (seem) to have there is not worth more to me that £50 a ton and I say £50 as I get it for £30 a ton.
  19. I hope your right, the Ocean floor could do with a mucjh needed break.
  20. As it is? In that pile? And all the knarly stuff? Id pay £30-50 a ton. Its hard to see if there is a single straight length over 1m there? And its certainly not air dried, will be 40% MC when you start cutting into it.
  21. But at least I know where to come when my insomnia kicks in.
  22. Cheers Dude! Another name to google and look for on ebay though.
