  1. Yip. But its marketed as a BBQ. Was a pallet full of them reduced from £10 to a fiver. Would have had a punt at £2.50.
  2. I had a raised veg patch til last month. Never had an issue with Carrot Fly where as the FIL always does. Flattened the Veg patch now and put grass seed down as I'll be moving the veg patch further away from the house. Gonna stick with Garlic though as its the best money saving for the area and we eat about 4 a week at a minimum.
  3. Seen something similar in a garden center yesterday. Way to much work involved in these though
  4. There is something very wrong with his mental stability.
  5. I was hoping after all this time we’d a picture of this staircase he popped out to take a photo of. Instead all we got was a picture of him sanding a plank and some pictures he ripped off the internet he took credit for. 🤣
  6. And we all know your trouble.
  7. By selling at a lower price than he’d ordinarily ask if required?
  8. An old fertility ritual.
  9. I’m sure someone would buy them. Not my cuppa at all. But certainly love the grain and potential that’s there.
  10. Yeh, I can see Bitch working well. Roll up the bark and jamb it down the slot and off it goes.
  11. Not a mansion but a very poorly insulated single glazed farmhouse with 6 chimneys and full of women. 🤣 Double Glazing should have been installed last summer but “Covid”. One of the stoves does our cooking and hot water sinks on 24/7.
  12. Can’t see hardwoods working.
  13. Hmmmm, not buying it. When will you finish them?
  14. Just seen this on FB 🤣
  15. That’s great! To me that shows the power the people can have when not competing with people who’s cost of living and house prices are vastly less than us in the U.K. Brexits slowly but surely working.
  16. Yeh, time will tell. The reality of it is they where/are paying about the same as someone earns in Tesco’s stacking shelves. Utterly ridiculous. Their wages need to rise to a level that’s worthwhile spending considerable time away from their families and the skill level and responsibility involved. Now that the flood gates have closed hopefully that happens. £20 an hour does not sound excessive to me. Im hearing reports from the U.K. oil and Gas sector that people are now working for £100 a day. Imagine sacrificing your life and time away from your family for that? Joining the EU and employers access to cheap Labour has been a race to the bottom.
  17. I find a bong does the job nicely. [emoji16]
  18. Heating oil 10 years ago was 61p a litre and today it’s under 50p. Taking inflation into account that 61p would be £1 today. So heating oil is less than half of what it was then. I find oil fairly cheap but then we do have 2 x 10kw Stoves in the house as well and all the free firewood I can feed them with. I expect to put 40 m3 lose filled bags through this coming season.
  19. How did you get on flogging them? Im thinking of making a bunch to test the market. Did you make a jig to hold the the log in place?
  20. Norway
  21. Only on two separate threads on here both updates within the last 12 hours.
  22. Deffo wrong on both counts.
  23. We have a massive driver shortage because the Haulage companies are greedy and short sighted. They’ve had 5 years to get a plan of action in place and have been complacent. Pay British people British wages and you’ll get Drivers. There is thousands of people with HGV licences in the U.K. that don’t wish to return to the job due to conditions and wages. But now the wages are significantly increasing due to Haulage Companies being forced to hire British people in Britain there is a resurgence in applicants and interest from those who already hold a licence.
  24. Let nature take its course. We need more candidates for the annual Darwin Awards.
