  1. You dont say?
  2. I see round my way there is people selling un-seasoned Spruce for £100 a 90x90 dumpy bag. (think he's a member here) Will be interesting to see how that goes. If this continues then I'll seriously get into selling firewood. Id rip Spruce Saw Logs into firewood for those prices.
  3. Cracking Job! Love it.
  4. Are all the bolts and wing nuts tight when you use the Granberg? There should be little play, what you’re demonstrating indicates there is. Remember to lube the sliding arm so you’re not using more force to slide the grinder in and out. I feel you’re trying to tune a Lada like you’d tune a Ferrari. And you’re trying to run before you can walk. Save all that fettering around with different cutter heights for a year or two down the road. Pick an angle and grind them all at that and at the same height. Google the recommended raker height for the chain you’re using and use the granberg to take them down that height. The adjustment on the Granberg is quite fine tuned. Don’t introduce more variables than necessary and get the basics dialled in first.
  5. You look younger than I imagined
  6. And carers, and fruit pickers, and meat processors, and nurses ........... Pay British wages, get British workers. Now that the Haulage industry have finally realised this they have greatly increased their wages and now there is an influx of people showing interest in getting trained up. Who'd have guessed?
  7. Like the way the Tories are? It’s all I see on my FB feed, in the news and in here. Not that I disagree with the kicking mind. We all knew it was coming. We begged and demanded more and more protection, vaccinations, PPE, etc etc. Now we have to pay for it. Well, not me, but you get my drift.
  8. Exactly. Careful what you wish for. Now it’s time for everyone to bend over and take what we’ve known since the start was coming. Huge tax rises and we’ve by no means seen the end of that.
  9. Gone with the wind: why UK firms could miss out on the offshore boom | Energy industry | The Guardian AMP-THEGUARDIAN-COM.CDN.AMPPROJECT.ORG
  10. I assume you know the difference between short supply and price increase?
  11. Where from indeed. I never used the word house though, you did. Edit; I did use the word house once. My mistake. Houses, flats, it’s all the same. They will need homed and larger families will need houses, it’s not like that’s unheard of is it?
  12. 1000 came in on a single day last week. This is not a disputed number. That means 1000 homes are needed for them. That’s in a single day. Then when these men are settled they’ll drag their families over. The cost of this single days worth of migrants for the next 40 years will be staggering. There is no where near enough houses as it is. Where are they all going to be homed. 1000 in a single day but a lifetime of burden on the tax payer. I think you’re seriously downplaying the significance of this. And we’re not even talking about the legal migrants either. Trying to home the worlds needy is destroying our country.
  13. It is? News to me.
  14. £380. A days wage. Thankfully this is one bullet I’ll dodge being Class 2.
  15. I hated that 2 in 1 Stihl file. Sat in the drawer after the first flat file dulled.
  16. I’ll guess not as amusing as your inability to correctly use basic equipment.
  17. On the whole they are Tecomec Jolly Star or Super Jolly's just re-branded for Oregon. Searching this brand could save you a few quid.
  18. I think you're just exposing your own inexperience here. Ive never had the issues you mention.
  19. Gutting. Make it a feature.
  20. Cracking slabs but that finish looks terrible. What happened there?
  21. Thats like saying it would cost you £200,000 to build a Ford Fiesta buying all the parts retail.
  22. Few lumps there. Ive a stack like that of English Oak I need to dig through one day. Should get a few nice bits out of it. Andy
  23. No I get that. But it still needed milled then stored, then flattened then sanded then pics taken then advertised. £45 seems fair and I doubt you’d get much more but in my opinion there’s very little money in. They’ve paid you an hours wage and the Platter was free.
  24. You’re a bit of a sex pest Leslie. Do you ever give it a rest?
  25. It’s a £45 platter, not £450. There’s next to no money in it as it is.
