  1. I prefer my instructions through Utube, I loose patience reading manuals.. mostly I throw them out anyways..
  2. Yes I've already conceded that one...
  3. After fixing my edge cutter and then moving on to fixing my mower the other day, I was wondering if I might have a sideline mending other peoples equipment.. what with Utube and picking others brains on here it might only take a few months to get to grips with that sideline.. then again maybe not, of the dozens of mends I've had a stab at, most of ended up in the scrapheap.
  4. If the people of Greece hated the EU as much as you imply, then why don't they want to leave?... As to the measure of me, I don't think so.. if I'm wrong I'll quickly admit it.. if on the other hand we're talking opinions, mines as good as anyone else's.. though on matters I have researched mine carries more weight.. Unless that is you've researched a subject as much as myself, then its up for debate who has the better argument..... usually its me though, well, mostly always to be honest..
  5. Errr can't argue with that...
  6. Just done some, says it was a principality once over.. when is a principality a country?..
  7. When was Catalonia?.. anyway whats that to with it.. the principle is, if you think you'd be better off breaking away from a country you aught be able to do it... if it makes you richer that is.. or for the hell of it if you want.
  8. As its "mainly", that opens a gap I can climb through LOL.. I intend to do what I'm doin till I can't do it no more, then I'll cross that bridge of what to do next when I reach it... with some luck the lottery..
  9. whats not to compare?
  10. I define the peoples of Europe as people I have something in common with, history culture and tradition.. I might include New Zealand Australia Canada and the US... I don't see myself as a little Islander like the Brexiteers seem to do... my horizons stretch way beyond our own shores...
  11. If they both wanted to break away from their host countries, yes theres a comparison is there not?..
  12. I'm ruled by how many MP's who don't live or work where I live an work.. If I was goin to I'd be complaining that an MP from erm, Cornwall had somethin to do with my Tax's.. but I don't cause I understand I belong to a greater entity than myself..
  13. Indeed, and you'll be postin next a city can't be independent..
  14. Because I'm not an idiot who wants to hide away from the world..
  15. Does it now, I suppose Vatican City doesn't exist except in other peoples imaginations then.. or am I being foolish making a numpty out of you..
  16. In what sense is staying in Spain for the Catalans making things worse?.. or for Scotland staying the UK or Britain staying in Europe?.. Theres such a thing as strength in numbers to think on as well.. something the brexiteers have as much clue about as they do most other things in life that matters.. clueless bunch of numpties that they are... As to making things better for myself, I'd at least muse on if my greed was goin to make others poorer....
  17. Thats a good point, but it has its flaws.. what if for instance the city of London with all its wealth wanted to break away from England?.. would that be OK ?.. Theres an international convention that says that regions should stay within their defined countries borders and only under exceptional circumstance be allowed to break away.. Such as happened in the former Yugoslavia or Eritrea.. theres a good reason for this, when one country breaks up, it tends to make other regions around the world to want to do the same. It tends to destabilize regions and countries all over the world. Its why Cameron was a tit for allowing Scotland a referendum on the matter. or a vote on brexit.. Its not just about the effect it has on us, but the unknown reverberations around the world.. without Brexit,or the Scotish referendum we wouldn't be seein the Spanish State in the mess they've now found themselves in.. I said the day after Brexit we had opened Pandora's box.. and we now see the evidence before our eyes... Still, as long as Boris got his way thats OK...
  18. Yea, you'd think if your pruner head fits over a branch it aught to slice right through it... but it don't work like that, some branches just don't want to behave as they should.. I tend to test a branch or two to see if I'm gonna have a problem, if the woods a bit knotty I stick to keepin to the smaller stuff, don't like the idea of climbing the tree to get my pruner back. I haven't got one of those two fo's, saw attached to a pruner, I have a stand alone pole saw... anyways, best advice, find a test branch and work your way from easy cut to strugglin cut... you can keep away from the problem sizes then..
  19. I do see him for what he is, someone who wants to be prime Minister at any cost.. He has his flaws, who doesn't.. But a psychopathic lunatic he is not... as to trump, just when will people get it, they didn't vote for Trump because he was suitable for the job, they voted for him precisely because he wasn't... a stuff you to the establishment. same reason people gave Corbyn their support last time round, apart from people wantin to stifle brexit of course.. Boris, if he'd of played his cards right and sided with the remain camp would of attracted those very same voters if he was a new Prime Minister.. But hey, to late now, he's messed things up for himself...
  20. I don't know, if your strugglin to cut the branch, then maybe its because the branch you attemptin to cut is too thick.. get a pole saw to go with your pole pruner... problem solved..
  21. I'd say whats wrong is people who are "driven", are labeled on the Autistic spectrum for some reason.. Its like a workaholic, can't for the life of me see why they should be called autistic or on the spectrum.. I can't see why anyone should think Boris is a psychopath as well, as a FS he aught be careful with language but thats about it, more than likely his use of dead bodies is just shorthand for, If only peace could descend on Sirtee.. bein a bit lazy its just easier to condense that thought into what he imagined was a funny euphemism.. For the most part I can't stand Boris, but thats no reason to slag him off as a lunatic because he misspoke.. or cracked a joke..
  22. I believe research has suggested the most successful people have a high IQ and for some reason are pretty lazy with it, I know it don't make sense but there you go.. I've ruminated on Boris along the same lines a time or two... he's oft quoted as being lazy by fellow ministers... and he certainly is bright... Its just a pity he's mucked up his calculations, he sided with brexit on account of wanting to appeal to the thousands of middle aged women in the conservative party who tend to vote right when they vote for a leader.. his appeal to that constituent forced him to go for Brexit.. I dare say he knows full well he's mucked up, and all he can do is salvage what he can.. but its all a bit to late, his machinations has attracted more than enough political enemies to keep him out the job.... Which is a pity, as I believe he'd of made a good Prime Minister... the road to hell is laid with good intentions springs to mind...
  23. May given her P45
  24. RAF intercept Ryanair flight due to bomb threat.. Perhaps the planes were on their way Mr Bullman... unusual for RAF planes to break the sound barrier overland..
  25. I hardly ever go on it, if I do its to watch somethin thats bin posted up in one of threads on here.. I did delete it once over, but a couple of years later resurrected it, I thought I was missing something, but no, just the same old same old.. look what I'm havin for my sunday dinner... followed by a hrly update of how the chickin was doin... FFS.. Then theres the family postin up crap, I swear I cringe when I see half of it.. washing your dirty laundry in public, theres somethin half of em need beating down with mallet for, you'd think they'd think on before they press, send... Oh, there was the time someone sent me a flying pig or whatever it was, asked me to send one back, of course I didn't bother, next time I saw him in the pub he was ignoring me.. over a flyin pig on facebook!!!!.. give me strength.
