  1. cheap as in a cheap new one or a cheap second hand one.?
  2. I was watching the live stream when Tommy asked the policeman if it was OK to film were he was, he knew or believed he was OK to film there but not on the property of the court.. It might be Tomy believed he wasn't allowed access to the court and to report the court proceedings.. Teresa May did everything in her power to get Tomy Jailed first time round.. goin to the trouble of jailing him for mortgage fraud.. I imagine a phone call by the judge to a middle party giving the go ahead for his arrest and imprisonment.. Tomy has become a political figure, you tend to tread gently with those people.. which makes you wonder if the OK wasn't given from the top.
  3. I've been following this case for a day or two now.. I'm a bit conflicted to be honest. On the one hand Tomy is an idiot for doin what he did, though I'm not sure he understood he was doin anything wrong. Apparently the case was under a banning order and its not mean't to be publicly commented on apparently. though Tommy had only reported what the local papers had to say.. being careful not to overstep the mark.. The real issue is not Tomy or his jail sentence but the use of banning orders in such cases.. wouldn't want to incite the general public would we now. If your asking me we should be asking who invoked the banning order and why. Teresa May springs to mind. wouldn't be good for her to have this sort of thing to deal with as well as everything else she's got on her plate.. anyways, next time theres a football lads alliance demo, I might just make the effort to attend..
  4. Yes, I was gonna mention that, when your being honest and authentic its a good read..
  5. I can't quite decide on you Chessa.. some of what you put down is lovely to read and other times it comes across as self indulgent waffle.. Oh and believe it or not I always fancied myself as a writer, storyteller.. but then I watched dirty rotten scoundrels. The part where Micheal Cane talks of his past, where he says he realized he had taste but not talent.. well I'll be blown I said to myself. Thats me that is... I think the only writing I ever did was a begging letter to a friends ex he wanted to get back with... asked if I'd write a letter explaining how much he loved her and missed her.. WTF I thought, then I thought, well, why not!!!.. took me a hr or so to compose but managed it OK in the end... when he read it or should that be after reading the first couple of lines he asked what the fk this shit was all about.. don't worry I said, women love crap like this... I'd wrote it in the style of Shakespearean verse.. Oh how my heart doth bleed my poor wrenched bones ache, that I might mend this broken vase i once called love... sort of went along those lines for a page or two from what I remember. he got back with his ex and I'm still waiting on my tenner...
  6. I can see this being law, that is, not so much encouraging the burning of dry wood but the total banning of open fires or log burners before long.. I think the push to promote a clean environment is a good thing for its own sake, but I suspect the real concern of government isn't a log fire in the odd cottage but the fear that hundreds of thousands of people might one day go to the parks and forests to chop down tree's when the expense of heating gets to much for em.. better to encourage insulation first than the burning of forests..
  7. perhaps a good Samaritan thinking you'd been paid early and thence done a runner.. did the home owner a good turn and took away the clipping?..
  8. as a part timer on the subject, I thought the rule of thumb was not to exaggerate the wound?.. but have seen american's use your preferred method on utube. apart from the aesthetics any reason why one is better than the other?.. only askin because I pruned an apple tree a bit yesterday and I just chopped off anything that I thought made it look thinner..
  9. seeing young mothers with their young children.. something life affirming about it.. silence... watching the stars when I take a leak outside late at night.... most of our myths are built round those constellations.. I muse on our ancestors doin the same thing telling their stories around them..
  10. stilh FS90R. enough power to be goin with with and not too heavy... you could if must buy an extra head and put the thick wire in that for when you need to do the nettles and such..
  11. If the government carries on pissing about with diesel engines as they're doin now, no one will have a diesel engine'd chipper in future even if someone gives em one... I'd get a petrol chipper and price in an extra tenner for the fuel... New diesel cars have nosedived.. I wonder fkin why?.... clowns..
  12. Well I enjoyed every minute of it.. had a job to do I've been putting off, moving two ton of soil from my friends back garden.. Turned up at nine, loaded up with him set off and told him I'd be back after the wedding, ha the look on his face.. highlight was the black american pastor with his relaxed delivery of his sermon/speech, whatever you call it.. put a smile on everyones faces.. good man.. and finally, Meghan looked stunning... Harry can pick em...
  13. You might want to send your child to a better school, one that teaches manners and grace.. or, you could do that yourself... if you can be bothered.. You might want to explain to your child the concept of gratitude as well. and why I'm about it, I can't remember any of my children using language like that at his age.. in fact he don't even swear in front of me yet if he knows whats good for him..
  14. I'll bet your watchin with the rest of us..
  15. I've enough to be goin on with with all the problems we have at the minute.. Brexit, the government and how long before an election.. Trump fkin things up in Iran and how thats gonna play out.. The royal wedding is a bit of respite for me to be honest.. a good news story for a change.. I don't want that ruining by investigating anyones motives for getting married in the first place.. let em get married and lets have a good day watchin em marry.. I/we can leave the bitching for another day...
  16. So you didn't now I think of it. even so, even if it was pure pay per view, I expect the numbers to be record breaking or near to it.. I think thats a safe assumption.. which begs the question why mention it.. its gonna be watched by most the people in Britain tomorrow pay per view or otherwise..
  17. If its a toss up between Harry and Meghan and the FA cup, I know who I'll put my money on.. Royalty getting wed verses 22 pricks kicking a bag of wind about for 90 minutes... who's playing?.. seriously, thats how much I care about that.. I haven't a clue who's even in the final..
  18. Yea well I haven't developed any opinions on her yet. I'm sure those can wait till at least after the wedding.. meanwhile I'm taking Saturday off to watch all the excitement an analysis by every commentator I can get my hands on.. and a thumbs up for your girlfriend, at least she has the right attitude for the big day.. Its a royal wedding, everyone should be looking forward to it like me and your misses.. those are for the misses.. good girl.
  19. why do I sense a streak of bitterness from some of the posts?.. If you're not interested in Harry's wedding fine, but don't be pouring scorn on the occasion because you might be a little jealous.. If you are a bit jealous then thats OK, I suppose it must really grate when someone like Harry and Meghan get all the attention when you and your marriage attracted none
  20. a little something to get you in the mood..
  21. I'll be watching it.. wouldn't miss it fore the world.. I dare I'll be as nervous as Harry and Meghan on the day. I sat watching Will's wedding all day last time round.
  22. You could start by grabbing the audiences attention by spending the first two minutes goin on about the dangers in the industry.. perhaps a few pics of chainsaw injuries.. Once you've got their attention you can talk about anything else you fancy, throw a few jokes in as well.. comedy relief after being shocked by the stories of woe in the industry
  23. Just found a vid explaining the new system on MOT's.. worth watching to get an idea of what to expect at the MOT station/garage..
  24. Seems a bit strange that they never got the keys... My van was nicked (got it back), I told the insurance company they nicked the keys out my coat pocket that was laying on the lawn near the van at the time... on my gardening run.. obviously I'd left the keys in like a dick... anyways hope you get it back, though I doubt you'll see the climbing kit.. probably end up on a car boot sale after a few months.. still, you never know, you might get lucky..
  25. Oh, might of been pre war I reading about just the other day... makes sense when I think of it..
