  1. you and Gary have above 12000 posts between you, I dread to think of the boredom you two must of inflicted on the reading public in that time.....hahahha
  2. Yes, entertain you... now we're getting back on track.. if I haven't entertained people then I see my efforts as wasted.. something some people are to dumb to figure out..
  3. Well done... I didn't even know I had so many...
  4. I'd like to think my arguments such as they are are above mocking for the most part... its cheap ploy is it not?..
  5. Well you'd know all about idiots wouldn't you..
  6. I don't give a fk, but I felt I'd try my hand at mocking.. its not hard is it?.
  7. Nothing wrong with the French, mind you I can't say the same for English people who move there because they think its good to have a French address, or they believe it makes em come across as cultivated or worse, cool.in a slightly jarring sort of way. I mean why would you?... pretentious pricks.. Yea I sip wine and watch the sun set from converted french farmhouse.. get the fk out of here.... whats wrong with drinking a pint at a pub in England?... Thats another thing that winds me up, pretentious wankers thinking people admire their decision to move to France, any other country I see it, get it.. but France?... what pretentious pricks... pass me the croissant darling.. the wines lovely isn't it, made from the finest grapes of the Dordogne.. French wanna be scumbags...... I wonder if this comes across as mocking in any way?............. I hope it does.
  8. No I didn't imagine it was, seeing as you have none...
  9. spoken like a humorless numpty... get back in ya cage so I can throw a banana at ya...
  10. Yep, sure is... I like to spout..
  11. I don't need to understand nothin before spouting off... I'll spout off when I like to. Now as to tree's being to big, I mean't to imply they have grown out of proportion to their surroundings. thus need to be chopped down.. an aesthetic thing more than a health and safety thing.. I mean if a branch blows off a healthy tree, so what, let it recover to keep it in proportion to its neighbors but on the whole tree's should be left be.. Mind you I'm speaking of tree lined streets or garden tree's, I don't suppose we need worry about any others?..
  12. You might explain to the general public that tree's fail, best not leave your car under it if you know whats good for you.. The tree's are looking a bit on the big side, perhaps we should fell and start afresh... a new way of looking at it rather that running amok with a chainsaw everytime a branch swings about in the wind...
  13. I blame the invention of the box, Pandora's box has so much of a better ring to it... lets have it right, the Title of the story would sound crap if it was Pandora's Jar..
  14. just thought I'd add my own opinion on the matter.. I've always believed tree's should be left well alone unless they need chopping down for whatever reason.. millions of years of evolution went into their design after all.. pruning tree's back for whatever reason can't help but have a negative impact on a tree's ability to cope with stress.. Then again I don't do things like reductions, I only chop them down, so I don't have any reason to debunk the evidence in the vids or go against my own gut feeling held over the years.. I think people should think more along the lines of chopping down tree's when they reach a certain height to weight/mas ratio in relation to their surroundings and not worry about reducing them otherwise... In a nutshell, if a tree's to big for where's its at, then chop and start again..
  15. and by the way its a jar not a box... the original story had her in a jar...
  16. Errm, so thats it... Intellectual Pretense.. thats a good one.. Having mused on this, its crossed my mind that you're right.. I've also mused on what to do about it, and have decided of the two options available, that the easiest of the two options is to ignore the critic and carry on with the intellectual Pretense..
  17. Though it bothers me to be corrected a little, surprisingly it doesn't bother me that much to get worked up about.. least not on a word like Jetsam and Jetsum... its not like I use them every day.. nor how I pronounce them.. none the less I am bothered in this case, not that you've gone to the trouble of correcting an Innocent mistake but that some find that amusing.. Joe Newton Stubby John P, and one other?.. Am I missing something?... I went to bed last night scratching my head on this, and this morning I'm still unsure of the joke..
  18. Supermarkets... The jetsam and flopsam of humanity that frequent them... I can't do my shopping without spending most the time pouring scorn on what I see in there.. this one needs to lose weight, this one got dressed up just to do a bit of shopping look at what she's wearing?.. how the hell does he shag that of a night.. and on it goes... here an there a good looking girl to distract my attention for a minute.. I swear the only people I can get along with are the checkout ladies.. the salt of the earth for the most part..
  19. I like to get the odd axe off Utube, more about supporting the Utuber channel than wanting an axe.. I came across a new channel the other day,, not a professional set up but her husbands seems to do some very good axes.. I'm thinking of getting one off her channel myself in the near future.. theres something special about owning an axe that you see being built... re purposed that is. giving it a new life story.. .
  20. Yes I think Steven Fry described it as a pleading tone.. which brings me to one of my own pet peaves.... Parents using a pleading tone to ask their children to behave.. I have to say something, hey, instead of pleading with that kid, tell him/she what he/she can and can''t do.. no ifs or buts but a fking demand.. let the little scumbag know that this is not a relationship built around equality but one built around teacher and child.. and your the boss.. not the damned child.
  21. comes to somethin when you have to get a dishwasher to do the dishes.. I do my dishes five minutes before I need em.. take em out the sink and give em a good wipe down with a damp cloth, takes a minute.. eat my dinner and let the dog clean em a bit more.... I always have two plates on the boil, hide the rest.. less temptation to fill the sink with the damn things, goes for all other cutlery, two of everything on show at any one time.. cups I keep to the one.. If you use a spartan set up like I do, you'll never be in need of a mechanical dish washer... ?️
  22. Can't say its a place I've ever dreamed of going to myself, looks too windswept and barren for my liking.. still if its been a dream come true, more power to you.. One thing I can say with some certainty is the Island provides a moral lesson to us all... be careful to take care of your environment lest we all end up on Easter Island in the not to distant future..
  23. misread that at first, thinking he'd just filled a chainsaw up with it, but no.. he's nicking whats left at days end for himself seeing as he thinks he's paid for it.. as bad as some of these knobs up here, can I just borrow a bit of petrol.. give em a can tell em be sparse with it as I need it myself and get a petrol can back with just over a cupful left.. and not a bit shame on their face or owt... These days they get the do what I do. what do you mean!.. go and fkn buy some...
  24. You know very well I'm talking about domestic tree jobs, not forestry.. you dick!!!!!..
