  1. What about these ? Good on lanyards, another triple lock version
  2. Being reletivley new to tree work, the dmm triple locking are the only ones ive used.Never had a problem with them. Ive seen the ball locks but i couldnt say which on is safer in tree
  3. Ive picked up chainsaw trousers on ebay,2nd hand but looked and felt like brand new on ebay for half the retail price. Its worth a look, especially when trousers are so expensive. As for gloves, boots helmet etc buy new is best.
  4. Telescopic ladders take up minimal room, down side is they ll only get you to the 1st limb
  5. Who said it wasnt? In the right circumstances of course
  6. Can you explain the circumstances when you'd be comfortable using a chainsaw while on a ladder steve...just curious
  7. Great pictures foxy keep em coming, looked like a good climb for the lad matty.
  8. Hey all, Id like to know your opinions on using ladders in tree work. Im of the opinion ladders are ok to use to access the tree as long as they are roped onto the tree and the climber is anchored into the tree also. Im against using a chainsaw when on ladders and using ladders that are not attached to the tree.Opinions in my van are split! Opinions/ storys appreciated
  9. So you agree that banning an entire religion (millions of muslims)from a country is the answer to preventing a minority of extremists gaining access to the usa.
  10. Typical american promo very ott, what was the skull mask for??? The music didnt fit the vid,and dont get me started on those orange chaps ffs cant the yanks buy proper chainsaw trousers...
  11. Tbh i havent a clue how many have died in religious wars since 1945,but the point is 1 death is too many.Im all for fighting and perhaps dying for what you believe in but too blame an entire religion for a minority of lunatics is bigotry and a very dangerous way for a president to be elected.
  12. The nazis murdered 6 million innocent people in a racist genocide, radicalised terrorists have a long way to go to match those numbers. Lets hope they never do. As for appeasment- no amount of appeasment is going to prevent intelligent and driven individuals from murdering others to further there sick cause.I dont claim to have the answers as how to prevent terrorist attacks in the states but making out all muslims are fundamentalists or radicalised bombers is the 1st step down a path to another religious war.
  13. Lets put trumps rant into context here, preventing all muslems from entering the USA is not going to stop terrorist attacks, what about the millions of peaceful muslems already living in the states, they could be radicalised and turned into bombers. All trump is doing is trying to radicalise peaceful, already scared americans into buying into his own vitarol and starting an anti muslem campaign which is completly wrong This is a man who wants to build a wall across the border too keep out all mexicans, hes racist and a bigot.I wonder how vocal he would be if he wasnt running for president, its easy to prey on peoples fears to get into a position of power,if he didnt have his billions would he even be running for president??? Remember the past...the nazis under hitler got into power by preying on peoples fears and blaming all the countrys woes on a certain religion. We CANNOT let that happen again
  14. At 30 odd quid a pop..mines just fine thanx ha!
  15. Has anyone replaced there silky blade ? Had mine for nearly year and a half and still cuts like a demon
  16. Go with your gut feeling on this one,ive never worn or know anyone has worn sips but ive read good things about them and theyre reasonabley priced.Have you checked ebay for chainsaw trousers? I got my stihl xfits for £120 of ebay thats half retail price...its worth a look
  17. Ahhh reet pet...the canny lass from geordie shore petal...
  18. Im not a fan of arbortec breathfex,my crotch split, the belt loops at the front are too far apart- making a nice baggy area perfect for catching woodchips and the bit at the back where you would clip on braces is so stiff it rubs against your back when moving around. I know a lot of people recommend arbortec breathflex and the do have some good qualities-very light, lets your legs breath and they look great, but just not what id recommend. Everyone is different and so you'll never really know what trousers are perfect for you till you take a leap of faith and purchase a pair. Stihl do an economy range which ive worn in the past and theyre pretty good, and at around 90quid not to be sniffed at. My recommendation would be save your pennies and get pfanner gladiators...as ive said before on these pages theyre in a league of there own.If its great trousers you want that tick all the boxes then wait a while and get the gladiators.Theyre worth it
  19. Eh? Explanation please stubby...
  20. Wife says -Washing machine on there own, stihls are a 60 wash pfanner, breathflex and husky a 40 wash. Dont tumble dry unless your a munchkin...theyll shrink!
  21. Ive only used zubats so cant recommend the others. The zubat curved 330mm has done all ive asked of it.great wee saws. The saw pods are great for them too
