  14. not sure i agree with the BFG trading on their name!! BFG's are made by Michelin who make pretty much the best tyres out there. i used to have general grabbers on my ranger but find the BFG's better on wet tarmac BFG's and gernerals both have wet grip rating of a B but personally have found the BFG's more predictable!

  17. don't get me started on this whole eco shit. take a biomass boiler, it costs loads more to make the boilers, they are huge to make the chip, all the equipment to harvest it, chip it, sell it, deliver it to site, move it from lorry to storage (alot of the time can't tip) and they want to stop the local guy cutting and splitting a few logs by hand to put on his fire to help heat his house and they want to tax him for doing that anything that is 'good for the environment' all you are doing is relocating where the 'damage' is done. it's the same with anything if you are running something 'eco friendly' to heat your house, there is just another few harvester's running round the woods to fuel your biomass or a few more factories in the country side making more metal to make the bigger, heavy, more expensive, less reliable air source heat pumps. rather than your little gas boiler or log burner puffing out a couple of fumes at your house... the fumes you are now not letting out of your house, there is 50x the amount puffing out in the country side to make it possible for you to run your 'eco friendly' system electric cars, yes there is no exhaust, amazing, but have u seen the massive coal fired power stations running the factories to make the car and make the electricity to power your car? oh and those extra mines for making those batteries and all the extra haulage...... oh yes but they are still produce '0 emissions' - do they ever!!!! they are worse it's all a load of bollocks..... just coal roll a diesel truck for work, run a filthy chipper, heat your house with a boiler, light your fire when u want eat keep eating meat. i feel better now!! has greta gone back to school yet??
  18. JTM have good prices but if it's copper you are after, you really want to get Yorkshire stuff it's not cheap but it's the best grade of copper so won't go green as quick
  19. thanks for the replies, i guess it'll be coming down shortly then
  20. Basically the garden is being redone, level it all and then grass And don't really wants roots in it!! But it might be a case of just having to take it out but don't really want to Thanks
  21. got a question pls, got this eucalyptus that a few of the roots are at the surface and wondering what's best, can you dig around where they've come up and then pin them back into the ground a few inches!? i thought maybe some threaded bar either side down into the ground and then pull them back down, will protect them so it can't rub and cut through. where the roots are is the highest part of the garden so can't just build the ground level up really, oh and i don't want to cut it down really! no idea what i'm talking about so any help would be appreciated please!!!
  22. very bad vehicle fine when they work but when they don't, they are massive money, no repair on them is cheap! a mate brought one having been told not to and he sunk a few k into it within the short time he had it, he now has a 18 plate ranger! either save up and get a disco 4 or a really well looked after disco 2 with a manual the disco 3 and 4 start having turbo issues normally at around 110k
  23. yeh, that's what the sticker told me all confidence i had in the splitter has now been destroyed
  24. yeh when it needs refilling it'll ping up when you start up. it comes on from around 1400 or 1500 till you need to refill they take about 20 litres
