  1. another question for the milling men, i seal the ends of logs as soon as i get them using pva before i mill once milled, should i then seal the ends again once stickered up? thank you

  8. 25x38mm roof batten i use stacked in the little covered area made from pallet tops, so air flow all 4 sides and stacked off the ground obviously and a roof if that makes sense!

  12. ? Time is money, ported saws cut quicker!! That's filled me with confidence!! I've stickered up, and there is plenty of airflow and I'll put the beech on top too So we'll see what happens I guess

  16. Question time ? I have these logs that I'll be milling over the wknd The one at the back on the right is cherry 4 other big logs are beech and little one at the front is obviously oak Question is what's the best thickness to do them to keep the wood as stable as possible during drying, I'm thinking 40/50mm? They'll most likely be used for a bbq area or that sort of idea, so most likely external application Also, does anyone ever spray their slabs with woodworm preservative just to do all they can to get the little shits out? Thanks again ?
  17. yeh thanks, just i do like something half decent quality, if i've got a kit i'll use it on all my milled stuff and anything else that needs strapping for that matter!

  20. what would you recommend i do with these slabs of beech, i've just got 3, 5 ton ratchet straps on them, mega mega tight they will be outside a little while before they go in the kiln then a sheet of celotex over the top is there more i should be doing to make sure they don't move, they'll be for table tops so!! thanks
