  1. The 20,24,28 is appealing. Not that I need a 24 [emoji848]
  2. Oo I was thinking of a sugi at 20" - 22" for my 620sx
  3. That's my thinking. People won't commit to taking guys on an employed full time basis but are suprised if they then put themselves first and try and earn an extra buck
  4. I read these facts last year and have been happy to drop it in conversation each time someone starts squealing about them. I much prefer wasps than irritating midgies etc. (Or what my pet hate is atm, green fly on sycamores)

    Insurance

I've been on the phone to insurance companies this week. The game changer is, if you're climbing, you have to have a groundie who is ticketed to do Ariel rescue. Meaning you'll need employers ins , whether or not you've actually employed them or they're self employed. You are employing them to help with that specific job either way
  6. Now it's been "pollarded" it's health will deteriorate anyway [emoji16]. It'll soon bleed if it wasn't [emoji102]
  7. That was taken in Lelant, across the water is Hayle, cornwall. That was on a Macrocarpa take down . Thanks [emoji16]
  8. Tested out the new saw Rob [emoji108][emoji108]

    This [emoji121]️
  10. Isn't that teufelberger Sirius?
  11. Throw in a cheeky spare chain Rob [emoji6][emoji102]
  12. Sheds or fences that get erected before you turn up to bomb the tree out
  13. They usually break when lifting them out or putting them back [emoji23]
  14. Either grease the stops or you've sheared a pin
  15. Zubat [emoji106]
  16. A few months back I turned up to an address that one of my contractors had sent me to. Turkey oak to be dismantled and removed. (It was the most perfect looking oak, symmetrical, no real dead wood, no sign of decay, full of bud ready to burst). Whilst chatting to the customer I got the feeling he didn't really want it down. I said to him it's a shame it's being felled. He said "yeah I know , we really like the tree but the neighbor is in his 90s and keeps complaining that it's getting hard work to sweep up the leaves". That very neighbor was the 90 year old man who was pilfering away lumps of wood throughout the whole job with his Mrs (turkey oak in the spring! I was struggling to lift it , it weighed a tonne! [emoji23]) . I hope he's got a sharp axe. Maybe there will be an irony that the oak will be the thing to put him in his grave
  17. My next rope is going to be cougar blue/orange CE stamped. Oh, I climb 95% srt. Some times I'll advance ddrt then switch over
  18. Yale 11.7 ropes are nice. But there's so many variables. What hitch cord/lengths, type of hitch tied, weather, if you've had a big lunch [emoji23]. From my experience blue tongue is a good rooe. ARB pro 9mm hitch is nice. New England ropes are too stretchy and ocean Polly is nice but doesn't last and goes stiff
  19. Apples please. Oranges give me indigestion
  20. I'm sure a double cab can be put against the buisness . (Mine was) but a single cab can't be. (Strange I know)
  21. My assumption was that it was just harder wearing. Learn something new everyday [emoji16]
  22. Guess it's just that inner part
  23. That makes sense. I thought they looked exactly the same size
  24. How does the different cams affect it? Just curious
