  1. I can't imagine anyone not doing a bit of weekend work on the side, good way of supplimenting income. You're far more likely to injure yourself playing rugby or football. Like to see an employer stop that!
  2. I'm on it, but never post. I like pumpkin the raccoon and various dog pictures. Twitter is my favourite social media ATM. Especially in the last 10 days.
  3. Congratulations on buying the house Ian, I remember you saying that's why you were working so many hours. Good feeling.
  4. The big guy with sign written vans could not tip, the little guy with magnetic signs who popped in every now and then could.
  5. More that you look like a home owner rather than a professional.
  6. I guess one has to delay the jobs where you need a chipper where possible. But at the same time you have to keep the scoreboard ticking over. I had the same thing happen recently with my Forst. Luckily I've kept my tw150 as a back up. We did a 3 grand hedge job with it while the Forst was "off the road" I was going to sell it, but I'll keep it now. It's already repaid its value as a back up.
  7. You're all forgetting about the birds, the glamour, the awesomeness, driving a pick up with your name on the side with your muscular arm hanging nonchalantly out of the window causing women to faint in the street. £150 a day btw.
  8. I'd imagine one would take a hit on profit to not let clients down.
  9. Working weekends and evenings to get a client base and extra cash for equipment is absolutely the best thing to do. Just don't overdo it. Good luck.
  10. Means the same thing, but that's not the point. It just seems odd to say to your employer "I'm handing in my notice for March 2017" What are you going to do with your clothing till then? Website, cards etc. I think you're putting the cart before the horse a bit, that's all.
  11. I did the best I could! No pleasing some people:001_smile:
  12. [ame] [/ame] Hères a vid I posted before about the felling of the planes, there's some biosecurity measures in it.
  13. That's the one doing for the planes on the canal du midi isnt it?
  14. There's a guy on here Ruskins trees or something who does this. His name used to be "I like to move it move it" which was just silly enough to amuse me.

It's a good news story, I think that's welcome at the moment. Alright then.......come on Wales!

The amazing thing is they'll play Portugal in the semi, who are no great shakes. They could actually win the whole bloody thing!
  17. Congratulations on your fandom.
  18. Certainly make you appreciate the chipper when it comes back.
  19. I wrote something similar Johny but deleted it. Not everyone has the luxury of an old chipper, or space to store it. Time you remembered not everyone is like you, posting from their yacht in Monte Carlo:001_smile:
  20. They can be hired relatively inexpensively can't they?
