  1. Wordle 1,351 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 2 failures on the trot avoided.
  2. Key point.
  3. Shouting “fooks sake, get out of the bloody way you complete spanner’ is comms also. I used to work with a bloke who could do that fingers in the mouth whistle, you could hear that through any chipper/chainsaw.
  4. You rode the wave of a hot thread, got drunk on the attention and relevance. Now the always problematic second thread/album has bombed. The comedown is brutal, you’re the Jodie Marsh of Arbtalk.
  5. Could you do a review of the GRCS at some point please Alex. Run us through why it’s indispensable for tree work, better than the Hobbs etc. Generally tip me over the edge into buying one. Thanks.
  6. Wordle 1,350 X/6 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟩
  7. Good point. Reminds me of the line from Seinfeld where he explained why he only bought trousers with a button fly. ”If there is any one place on my body that I don’t want to be in reach of interlocking metal teeth it’s there”
  8. Cut or cut off?
  9. My Nephew was in Oz for a year, found FB sites like this very useful when driving around.
  10. Gene Hackman’s dog on hearing he’s in on the pact.
  11. Well it’s like a lot of things in tree work, I think Semantics is the word. You can describe topping a lime tree in many ways. Reduction. Round over. Topping. Or the first stage of a belated (though still viable) pollard cycle leading to periodic reassessment and cyclical re-implementation. As Mark says, the difference is usually the price.
  12. I hope it wasn’t something sinister. Anyway Gene Hackman was a great actor. Here he is in a brilliant film, Mississippi Burning.
  13. I baulk a bit at describing homeowners as clueless, usually better educated than me. If I had to explain it, I’d use exactly the same language as I would use on here. Or is that your question?
  14. Wordle 1,349 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  15. The non-deductible VAT on the double cabs makes sense.
  16. Ash, all day long and twice on Sundays (as Stubby says)
  17. Just so I’m up to date, is this still only the 4 door/4 proper seat jobs?
  18. Wordle 1,348 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟨🟩⬜⬜ 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  19. My advice would be listen to the experts. Plant two more in its place.
  20. I would describe that as a retrenchment. Almost certainly a dead top.
  21. Looks to me like it’s on its way home, the reduction was probably OK’ed by the council as a way of rendering it safer and managing the decline, provide habitat etc. Just let it do it’s thing, could be decades (or a lot less) before you have to pull the trigger.
