  1. It doesn’t look good. Can you take some pictures of the tree in its entirety so we can see the reduction?
  2. Well there is that I suppose.
  3. Wordle 1,347 6/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Didn’t do much wrong in all honesty.
  4. Wordle 1,346 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟩⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Good start to the week.
  5. Judging by my battery saws, that looks normal. They don’t seem to oil much, make sure the hole in the bar is clear.
  6. Dunno….70 quid maybe.
  7. You can throw good money after bad, it’s a 20 year old saw. You could have it rebuilt from top to bottom spending half the price of a new one and have it blow 2 weeks later.
  8. Wordle 1,345 5/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. Do you have to announce where you live on your advertising?
  10. Why go ltd? Stay sole trader and no one knows any different.
  11. I genuinely believe there is less rancour and insults than at any time that I have been of this parish.
  12. I’d disagree with Nepia, walnuts cope well with some pretty rigorous pruning. They only bleed in the spring/late winter when the sap is rising.
  13. There will be a few low scores today.
  14. That fork is problematic and looks likely to fail at some point. Leave the water in the crack, fungus can’t attack damaged wood underwater. I can’t comment on the cabling cos I can’t really make it out. If you’re dead set on keeping the tree, I’d advise a significant reduction. Others my differ.
  15. Wordle 1,344 2/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 20 seconds start to finish (Wordle I mean)
  16. I’d echo what Nepia says except for the wood turning bit. They are nothing more than time wasting hippies. They might appreciate it, they rarely pay for it. Just show you some bowl or spoon they’ve whittled and expect you to give a shit.
  17. Put a picture up.
  18. Wordle 1,343 4/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟨🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  19. I can’t argue with you about that tbh. How old is the saw?
  20. The manufacturers recommend 50:1 for a reason.
  21. Should be 50:1
  22. That rope is ideal for natty crotch rigging. Its light, it give better friction in the tree for climber-lowering, the strands give you a better hold and feel in the fist. Plenty strong enough for light/medium rigging. We pulled the Ranger out of a mud hole with a tractor a while back using it. It’s cheap so if you cook it or cut it no big deal.
  23. Anyone see this on Arbtalk FB? Koala Courant, the rings lost the bolt or something.
  24. I know that I play up the ‘you don’t want none of that modern rubbish’ trope. I don’t think it does any harm to point out sometimes that the wheel hasn’t been reinvented, it’s often just been painted a different colour and given a funky name like The Banzai Wankshine.
