  1. I was wondering what the "Hectors" thing was about!
  2. If it's as told in the OP it's laughable nonsense, of course he cannot enforce it.
  3. It's a nice theory but it doesn't tally up with the usual weather conditions (from what I've read and experienced) ( It's always been after/during a long warm/hot spell.
  4. It's been discussed before on here by the great and the good. There is no definitive or universally accepted explanation up to this point.
  5. That's what I was thinking, Mile-a-Minute vine was what my old boss called it.
  6. I have bought a tractor and sold a chip truck on there as well. It works well.
  7. Karma is utter BS. New age nonsense.
  8. Yes, I learnt to bunch up your T-bags into little spheres, they're more aerodynamic and fly truer.
  9. I used to have a bizarre ritual years ago. I'd stand at one end of the kitchen and throw a teabag into a mug on the work surface at the other end. This could take many efforts, but I could not leave for work until I had achieved it otherwise "bad things" would happen. It really worked! until the day I did it first time and later that day punched a hole in the roof of a house with a branch.
  10. Insure it from what? theft? in which case get a tracker
  11. Make sure he is taking it away for that money, sounds very cheap.
  12. I'd say that tree is due a prune in its situation. They come back just fine after pruning, but need redoing on a cycle of 5 to 10 years (approx)
  13. Mini diggers are cheap to buy and hire, you cannot make anywhere near the money with a digger that you can with a grinder.
  14. Agree 100 percent re. the bench grinder and green wheel, I bought a decent respirator as well. The dust gets everywhere and it looks nasty.
  15. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/85569-mythbusters-ms200t.html My feelings on the debate. ps the OP looks like he damaged the saw himself imo.
  16. Got a chance to watch it finally, excellent as ever.
  17. You may well be right, dépends on how he wants to move forward.
  18. You'll need public liability insurance to cover any breakages of clients property. For a start that is all you will really need. Arborisk on the right of your screen are insurance brokers for this sort of thing.
  19. Classic British back garden tree surgery pics Timon. Big ol' lump to get out of there.
