  1. Stv36 (apologies for yet another picture!) I very nearly pulled the trigger for a Giant telescopic loader, which would be better, but not €30000 better. End of this year maybe.
  2. In this situation it was ideal, stacking cord length ways on the truck, in a tight front yard.
  3. The digger with a grab or thumb is an option. If you can get the truck close enough for loading it's a real time/back saver. (As in this pic) I've all but stopped using mine since I got the compact tractor with a grab. It opened my eyes to hydraulic assistance though!
  4. This has inspired me to go to the fridge and get a beer out, cheers!
  5. Agreed, just do it, lombardies have a slow swing through the air. Let it run a bit if you can. It'll be alright.
  6. I've never undone my knots for storage, never known anyone do it. There's always someone though...

Our garden is bordered by fields, we get a few new ones every year. TBH it's not an issue, if the come into the garden, they die.

+1 on the detauper, I've killed scores over the years in my garden. Not sure the diesel works though.
  9. Good point Jomo. If you have a botanical question on here it'll get answered by and large. A lot of that is thanks to The Hump of course.
  10. Europe in or out is ok. But it soon became the Political Hobby Horse thread.
  11. This one gave me a few laughs....http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/104435-annoying-things-guys-do-site.html
  12. We've all seen them and laughingly read the comments about how they're "so true". Often involving a woman (or a red indian) thoughtfully staring into the distance with some meaningless drivel underneath about positivity or self understanding. Anyway this one came up on my time line and fair boiled my urine. It's so stupid that this woman (who runs a positivity website btw) could claim this sentence as something original. You might as well say "I like biscuits" or "baths can be nice" Anyway if you've seen a worse one please share....
  13. [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=He-Pjqge03g[/ame] Quick vid of me doing a bit of deadwooding.
  14. Sorry Matty my fault, my ht130 extendable pole saw from year 2000ish is an old fashion 2 stroke, my combined tool thingy km130r is the dry sump 4 mix. Bloody stihl and their numbers! Edit...my polesaw is an HT75. Sorry, how many errors can I make in this thread?
  15. If I remember my limited research the stihl has more power 1.4kw against 1.1 for the husky.
  16. Agreed, prolly an émissions thing. My 2 stroke 130 has always been a bitch to idle and will cut out intermittently. I was going to get the husky, but the shop was closed for stock taking and I needed the purchase to go on this year's books, so I drove down the road and got the Stihl. Impulsive? Moi?
  17. Fark! No biggy really, I've got a 4mix backpack blower and a combi tool they seem pretty good tbh.
  18. https://adelaidetools.com.au/stihl-ht-131-2-stroke-telescopic-pole-pruner-36-3cc.html This site describes them as 2 stroke.
  19. What? 4 mix or 2 stroke? The stihl website doesn't specify (which makes me think it's an old fashion 2 stroke)
  20. The stihl 131 is 4stroke? I've just ordered one to replace the 15 year old 130. I specifically asked the bloke if it was a 4mix and he said it was 2 stroke.
  21. Rory's interest was only fleeting it seems. Stand down.
