  1. Thought about a poll, started to do it but looked complex, then I had to pop out and buy some red diesel and TBH CBAed.
  2. Works here, you want a copper getting in your car to check the mileage?
  3. I think it's 4 years here as well, what is it in England?
  4. Just to satisfy my curiosity.... I use an iPad, I find it allows me to be here, FB, Twitter et al whilst watching telly and "listening" to my wife. I couldn't imagine going back to a laptop, or worse, desktop 'puter. Too much of a commitment to my attention if you get my drift. Those phones like a Galaxy or iPhone whilst great for work are too small for my aged eyes. So what do you all use?
  5. More poplar mayhem, plus fires and a tractor.
  6. I've seen a few turn their toes up after a year or so. The vast majority just come back strongly. Especially if they've got their toes near the water. Pops can go either way it's true.
  7. Next to no issues with my 550. If you're carrying your saw round all day you'll notice the weight difference with a 560.
  8. Sounds good, what makes this job so good is there are so few regulations. The men in hi-viz vests with clipboards are changing that these days more and more.
  9. I had a GM, I found them to be good solid machines with excellent dealer back up. Cannot comment on value for money.
  10. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/large-equipment/52568-greenmech-quad-chip-160-pros-cons.html There you go, some pointers on this thread.
  11. It's not so bad, it's a way of retaining a tree that would otherwise be removed if "the rules" were rigorously adhered to. Rot pockets, fungi, it's all (mostly) good.
  12. Every time I read that motivational sentence I always think that it's referring to death. But that's just me I guess....
  13. That's rough luck, you look quite young as well. Good luck in the new life.
  14. Nice truck and good tool storage solutions Levi.
  15. Funny that isn't it, I used to beat on shoots and kept ferrets, hunted with my Jack Russell I can't bear to kill anything now.
  16. Noise Stubby, most groundies are attuned to looking up and being aware when the saw is on full chat.
  17. Reduced a horse chestnut today, no cuts bigger than 6 inches. The battery saw loved it. I will say that the relative lack of power means that later on whilst dismantling a fir I switched to a 201. I needed the speed through the cut for the branches to land flat. Poplar, Willow, horse chestnut, lime and the like it's bang on.

    Hello

Hi Levi, awkward to say the least.
  19. Watched the first one, very good work, as someone said before, credit to your ropeman as well.
  20. Thanks for the update. Bargains have an unfortunate habit of biting you in the arse.
  21. I advertised for staff in the local paper late nineties, got a really good groundie through it. The local paper was a touchstone for the community back in Victorian times.
