  1. Like many of these things, he's more interested in the publicity from the show than any real investment. Good luck to him.
  2. Without pictures nobody can offer any meaningful advice.
  3. Don't worry about frosts, it's grass not baby giant pandas.
  4. GreenMech Vs Jensen who won in the patent office? Apropos of nothing really. It seems Jensen are going to have to stop copying the safetrak.
  5. Absolutely no idea. I seem to accrue more money than I spend so I guess it's ok.
  6. Ok thanks, like you say green oak is a walk in the park compared to some others.
  7. So what did you think? What power unit? How does it compare to other machines you're familiar with?
  8. Maybe, but grabs are just so.......empowering!
  9. Sounds good Pete, my Commando is still in the shop. Back next week hopefully.
  10. I saw bits and bobs of his speech. I'm no fan, being one of the hoodwinked re. The war, but..... Dismiss him at your peril, with the Labour party's ratings at an all time low there just might be a space for him. He's a "Big Beast" he carries real clout.
  11. Hope so, it's attached to the house so nightly prowlers don't worry me much. It's when I'm on holiday that I can't relax.
  12. After pic. Bollocks! Upside down.
  13. Finally improved my security with a roller shutter. Pathetically pleased:001_smile:
  14. Excellent stuff, lovely day for it as well.
  15. Species dependent of course Matty. With limes there's usually one or two regrowth "winners" to choose from. Plus, assuming you trust the previous guy's work, it can take the guesswork out of imagining the shape from the ground.
  16. Really nice job on that lime. Meaningful reduction and a great shape. Been done before which helps of course.
  17. If you've been getting away with it thus far, you've done well.
  18. Sad news. Young man with a family. Couple of days ago I was poking around with the tip of my 550 on full chat around the remains of a pollarded horse chestnut, trying to cut off anything I could chip. Then totally out of the blue it kicked back and swung up in an arc to lightly hit my left clavicle. The chain brake had been activated, whether by inertia or my left hand, which was in position with my thumb wrapped. Stuff happens so fast.
  19. All you can do is learn your lesson. Buy it from a dealer next time.
  20. If you get a long big piece that the rollers keep throwing back out without grabbing. Pressure from a boot will help the rollers get a hold of it, if your other leg is up against the safety bar you'll nearly always emerge with two feet at the end of the day. If not, it'll grow back right?
  21. It's like a deal, you get to keep most of the money from the job, they get less of the money but less of the hassle. They are usually less committed than you, they've less to lose, and less to gain. I've had issues with employees, I've even railed against them on forums. But if you're genuinely not earning more than double what they get per day, you're getting the pricing wrong.
