  1. Thanks, alas the interior is suffering a bit thank to the fox terrier.
  2. Anyway, casting aside mental images of MB's 37 year old erection , here's the Ranger with the ATs, plus a fox terrier, which rather completes the ensemble I thought.
  3. That’ll be it Mark. For those too young to remember here’s the opening credits. Banned from TV now because of the flag on the roof of the car.
  4. They’re not making it any more, that’s for sure.
  5. I kept hitting lampposts and ending up in ditches when I believed my Hillman Hunter was the General Lee.
  6. New shoes on the Ranger today BFG ATs, slightly more vibration on the motorway but on the roundabouts etc. there were no break outs or Dukes of Hazard type power slides.
  7. It’s a tricky one, I think things were easier 40 years ago, less choice. Anything stock market related always gives me the jitters, all so intangible. Property is probably the most solid, if you can afford a second mortgage for a buy to let.
  8. Well of course it does! any ported saw is going to be better.
  9. I have bought one recently (201tc) after 2x201ts (which are still going strong) I love it, good power right through the rev band.
  10. That rope went slack immediately, pointing to a hinge being cut through. Agree though, clear communication in a tricky situation is essential (and easily organized)
  11. I know, I’ll post a photo, anticipating admiring looks from teenagers. Makes it all worthwhile.
  12. I’ve had mud terrains on a Land Rover, awesome off road. Noisy af on the road, suck the juice down and wear quickly. Mark is right though, nothing is perfect, ATs are a decent compromise. (getting 4 fitted to my Ranger tomoz so need to justify the €700!)
  13. Surely you can get a 201 for that money?
  14. Another thing to do is cut behind the branch collar from the top down, it’ll peel off and hold nice. Species is important, a cedar will let go in an instant with a top cut and a spruce will hold and hold and hold.
  15. Could be anvil wear, you can see it if you unhitch the springs that hold the roller down, lift the top roller and jam a piece of wood to hold it up. There is also (in certain models) another secondary vertical anvil.
  16. Use the tail end of your climbing line to hold little branches
  17. I had BFGs on a hilux and a Navara with no problems. But I’m not the most sensitive of drivers. Sure you didn’t have too much pressure?
  18. Just ordered some bf Goodrich ATs for my Ranger, what are the issues?
  19. Like the yellow ones Kevin. Stop the stems slipping out as they do a bit now. Larger pieces are held free anyway, no issue.
