  1. Thanks, don’t think I’ve ever taken out a decent size one. Back in ‘95 I had to “tip thin” a similar looking one in central London when I was as green as the leaves and way out of my depth, had all sorts of issues finding a reasonable anchor point. I was crapping myself and the stoned groundy couldn’t start the chipper. Funny the jobs you never forget.
  2. Evergreen oak? Why did it have to come Out?
  3. Let’s not forget, the little dog just ran out snapping and barking, we’ve all seen it, most dogs will just bark back, owner pulls it away couple of harsh words between owners, end of story. Someone’s pet was killed.
  4. I know Stubs, but someone is grieving their beloved pet. If you or I were there a swift kick in the little uns direction would have sufficed. Igor escaped today, for 30 minutes, Christ knows what he gets up to. I just hope he’s smart enough to keep away from the big dogs.
  5. I don’t know if I told this on here but a recent incident.. Walking Igor the Fox terrier a couple of months back on a regular track, passed a garden with a bull mastiff type in behind chain link fencing. The mastiff charged the fence and burst through underneath, I managed to pull Igor back on the lead and sweep him up in my arms, the mastiff jumped up at me to get to him and just managed to injure his bollocks, claret leaking out, trip to the vet etc. I was understandably furious, the female owner just giving some old flannel about their dog not being vicious blah blah. Point is a big dog can kill a smaller one in seconds, if it had been my wife on her own it could have been very nasty.
  6. I just checked on line, not a requirement, but many people do, I have a mate in the UK who’s parents always have a Greyhound, which is always muzzled on walks. As has been said, she has my sympathy, especially as she rescues them. They are are powerful dog with fast jaws however. Hope things work out for them.
  7. No not about the weight. The impotence thing, and the happily married thing.
  8. The ideal gap is around 1mm so there isn’t such a thing as too close, unless they’re touching. The pillow block bearings are moveable in little slots, back and forth if it’s like the Forst. I am told they’re a similar design, I may be wrong though.
  9. I may be going mad, but I seem to recall you posting that you were a keen masturbator and your missus had skedaddled.
  10. Given the choices you put up, I’d go for the Echo.
  11. Meh. It looks a bit untidy and poorly executed but it does the job. I don’t see any sort of reforming of the crown working. As for the pollard idea, isn’t that what it is? Albeit high, ugly and not started in the trees formative years.
  12. Time for a trip to the opticians Paul. look closer.
  13. I love it when they leave a little bit of growth on, like that’ll help! They will be fine, throw out lovely come spring. Look self sown, right up against that prefab wall, could mean their demise if one of them starts to push it over.
  14. I’m sure that’s the case for wholesalers or some individual clients, but having just checked on a buy/sell website the ads to end users all state it’s seasoned.
  15. Just a point there J, here at least peeps want seasoned wood.
  16. Little compacts can be pricier than bigger stuff, if you’re not transporting it in a trailer buy a bigger 45hp plus one with forks.
  17. Wife is having a dry January, which is bad for me as well, as tempers, already on the short side, can become hair trigger at the sight of me with a glass in my hand.
  18. Good luck with him! Looks magnificent.
  19. Rumors of the imminent demise of Stihl/Husky are greatly exaggerated.
  20. I just wrote nearly the same post, but it wasn’t as good.
  21. Ok, let’s move on then. I’m aware of this concept of a money free society (I’ll assume that’s what you’re talking about as opposed to not believing in the existence of money) how’s that going to work then?
