  1. So what tangible benefits have you seen?
  2. I wonder if you’ll feel the same when Scotland leaves the UK and Northern Ireland. I see the pound has hit a new low against the dollar. Hows that UK/US trade deal coming along? How many people have crossed the channel in little boats this year 20/30 thousand? Getting our borders back are we?
  3. I wasn’t expecting immediate benefits, I was expecting it to be a bit less of a series of cockups and loss of freedoms than its proven to be.
  4. Let’s be straight about it, no amount of cartoons can disguise the reality that Brexit was a mistake. I was marginally for it, now have to concede it was a massive error. What’s done is done, no going back, but what a clanger got dropped that day.
  5. Thoughts and prayers for Joe at this difficult time..
  6. So under warranty the TW dealers disabled the stress control?
  7. So what did they do?
  8. If they can get a cherry picker in it’ll be easy enough to do. Their garden, they can decide if they want branches in it.
  9. Some of us have lived through booms and busts, good times and bad. Stuff happens, life’s not always fair. We’re not being bombed by the Nazis, things could be worse.
  10. Dempsey Tree Surgery 🇬🇧🇫🇷 (@dempseytreesurgery) • Instagram photos and videos WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Dempsey Tree Surgery 🇬🇧🇫🇷 shared a post on Instagram: "First day on a local job felling a row of cedars.". Follow their account to see 73 posts. Some cedars died today.
  11. Hmm, not the greatest ad for the log-bullet.
  12. Ok thanks, I thought that was it.
  13. Can I ask what is baffling? I’m not following here.
  14. I was pricing with a client today, sunny but we were in the shade. I suddenly felt cold, and realised I hadn’t felt cold in months! Bloody luxury!
  15. Then they should buy something else. Gamekeepers are not really a demographic that manufacturers consider as important I reckon.
  16. No offence, but don’t talk daft, you’re not stuck, or if you are, it’s only in your head. Pick ups these days are better than 20 years ago.
  17. Igor is now a marketing asset.
  18. I remember back in the late 90s Richard Court was importing a few JBM chippers. He used to say the build quality was top notch (and he should know) Couldn’t compete on price with TW etc. so never got a foothold in UK in the same way as Schliesing has I guess.
  19. Cut them to the required height, simple as that.
  20. Wow!
  21. Don’t be daft Stu, get the exterminator at the client’s expense, €200 max.
  22. Had to come off this job today, Asiatic Hornet’s nest up there, size of a volleyball, still swarming in and around it. Lucky I saw it.
  23. I had to unload 50k of Multione loader from the back of an articulated lorry onto an Ifor Williams trailer then off that onto terra firma. So I was driving it into space (well 5ft off the ground) Did not like,. The issue of course is ensuring the ramps didn’t move when I edged the machine onto them, once firmly on them it was ok.
