  1. You could try one of these, much more comfortable for the dog, she won’t be bumping into things either.
  2. You, on the other hand, gorgeous.
  3. ….
  4. …..
  5. I believe the modern thinking is to cut exactly in line with your bottom cut, you can nip the sides as well on bigger pieces. It’s all species/weight/power of saw/ dependent of course
  6. Water sitting in the cavity of a tree can stop rot as the fungi can’t spread in an anaerobic environment (or something like that) anyway, put up a pic.
  7. I’ve been experimenting a bit, lessening the angle of attack with good results. I’ll do some timing videos against a new chain when I get the chance.
  8. In her day, a decent looking woman. let’s see a contemporary picture of you Brad Pitt.
  9. Yes, that will deffo happen as it moves back along the tooth. I don’t think this has legs, just found it interesting that you can get a very acceptable chain without following the proscribed methods. Once these chains are finished I’ll go back to conventional methods I think.
  10. Chegz, you’ve had a nightmare there mate!
  11. Tucker Carlson sacked by Fox, Rupert Murdoch changing things, the Dominion debacle continues to reverberate.
  12. She has/had considerable support within certain sections of the party. It would have been difficult for KS to shuffle her off without this gift.
  13. I See Diane Abbot has lost the whip after putting her foot firmly in it again. KS has an open goal to kick her out and get shot of an election liability.
  14. It’s a purple plum, prunus pissardii. Not very long lived and I have found that they don’t react well to pruning. You could try mulching the roots and other stuff, or take it out and plant another, 4/5 years you’ll have a decent tree.
  15. @Macpherson @Johnsond
  16. Hi Rob, thanks for chiming in. It’s a 550 standard bar and chain. On the larger (longer/less used) teeth it’s hard to fit this file between the raker and the tooth. I know it’s not right, it’s not even the right file, but it really does cut fast. Did the 560 the other day, impressive cutting from that as well. I will look at the vid later, after the cup semi final.
  17. Very very funny fella. Just been watching some clips of him on various shows.
  18. Nothing to lose Dan.
  19. I found with a new file it was easy enough to change from a round file tooth to a square file. But I wouldn’t argue with a forester on sharpening protocol!
  20. I don’t want to be negative, but you’re not learning how to run a company, in real terms it doesn’t exist. What exactly are you doing atm, Freelance climbing? Are you renting a truck and chipper? I have a feeling that Duncan Banntyne might have a few choice words.
  21. I saw the Vallorbe on the net whilst researching, this is a Stihl file btw. I’m guessing this is exactly the same. What happens in hardwoods? Gets a bit grabby?
  22. All very true. But you’re not 27, there’s a world to conquer at that age.
  23. Anyway, funny story. I went down to order a few more of these files, turns out these are for sharpening circular saw blades, not square ground chainsaw teeth (no bevel on the edges) But the 560 I just sharpened is fairly epic in wood so I’ll carry on using it for these chains and see how it goes.
  24. Have you seen those horse-less carriages going down the road? Some reaching 30mph! It’s not natural I tells yer! Human body can’t take it!
  25. 27 is young, you’ve achieved a lot. I have no answers for you (that I’ll put on here) Don’t be too tough on yourself.
