  1. I like the red too! And yes, mine are looking decidedly less red now. But honestly, I’m very impressed. Pockets are well thought out, everything seems great quality and the price is excellent. What more can you ask for!
  2. Ps I had a pair of the Innovations, and these Solidur ones wipe the floor with them.
  3. I recently got myself a pair of these after a recommendation from a mate. So far they are excellent. Comfy, lightweight, massive vents on the back and seem to stand up to Forestry work fine. All this for a reasonable price. Only downside is is the colour choice. You can have any colour you like, as long as it’s red! 4. Evening all. I’ve had a mate from back in the motherland get in touch, needs some work doing at his recently inherited house. Not spoke to him for a wee while so he didn’t know I’d moved away. Anyone in the local area keen for a bit of work? Sounds like some pruning and possibly a removal, maybe some hedge cutting and general garden maintenance. Unfortunately I know nothing about access. If anyone was keen, PM me and I’ll pass details on. Westfield in Workington I think. Cheers.

  5. This is very interesting mate. I'm constantly battling signal issues in the woods, so this might be the answer.
  6. Got my local dealer to price one up. It’s next on the purchase list I reckon!
  7. I’m sure I saw an advert for the new L200 and in the small print at the bottom of the screen it’s said the 3.5t towing capacity was only when towing a triple axle trailer with brakes. Single or double and it was less (3.2t perhaps?)
  8. I’ll try and loosen up a bit, see if that works. My unstable and weak shoulders ain’t helping. Off to see a private quack to have them looked at, and find out whether the operation I had was actually the wrong one for me (out of a choice of two). The aim is to be on the Logbullet pretty much full time eventually mate, but for the immediate future I’m having to muck in and do plenty of cutting myself unfortunately.
  9. Hmm. Interesting point J. I have been wondering if I’ve been clinging on a bit much recently, possibly due to my shoulder issues? As of yesterday I’m using a brand spanking 550 Mk2. I was looking at these gloves: Anti Vibration Gloves Hi-vis Reflective Safety Work Gloves, Touch Screen, Flexible Spandex Back Anti Vibrant Gloves Hi-vis Yellow & Orange Large: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Free delivery and returns on all eligible orders. 10. Cheers man. I like to think I’m fairly tech savvy (a phrase I hate!) but the arbtalk search function is a mystery to me too ?
  11. Evening all. Ive noticed my hands are getting a bit tingly at the end of the day, especially after a full day of brashing. I wear some very thin and basic gloves currently, but really should have some anti vibe type ones I reckon. Any recommendations from the collective out there from personal experience?
  12. Well I’ve been pondering this subject for quite some time, having switched back to 2 stroke recently. I was in buying myself a nice new Mk2 550 yesterday and decided it wasn’t right to put anything other than Aspen in it. So I’ve switched back! Bought myself a dozen 5L bottles to keep me going for a while.
  13. Is that dodgy oak a Thorp Perrow one?
  14. Bill do you mean the 535? Im a little confused at what’s what worth the Husky ones. Is the 535 the current top model or is it the 536? Can get the 536 on a package deal for £499, and the 535 for £565 ?
  15. Makita DUC353Z 36V Brushless Chainsaw with 2 x 5.0Ah Battery & Twin Port Charger WWW.TOOLS4TRADE.CO.UK <!--/*Product Description starts here*/--><div><h3><em>Makita DUC353Z 36V Brushless Chainsaw with 2 x... This the one you have?
  16. Cheers! I’ll check the Makita one out, thanks.
  17. I’ve been pondering about getting a battery saw to keep on the Logbullet, nice and easy to use and quick to start if I need to quickly nip a limb off or even fell a tree as most stuff I am working with is pretty small (first thinnings) I've used the Husqvarna one, and found it reasonable. Having a quick browse about you can get the Oregon one with a 16 inch bar plus a 6.0ah battery plus a charger for around £360. Anyone got any experience using one? I’ve always found Oregon stuff to be decent enough quality, but had never heard of their chainsaw range before.
  18. Back on topic.... I was chatting to a dealer locally about Aspen/2 stroke/Motomix etc. He can do me a 55l drum of Stihl Motomix for £150+vat which seems very reasonable to me. So I might be migrating back from 2 stroke, but just not to Aspen!
  19. I got chance to have a play with a Mk2 550 on Friday...... Wowsers. What a saw. It has truly surprised me, it is so quick to rev and was absolutely flying through timber at full bar length. I'll be buying myself one in the very near future, very very impressed.
  20. Finally made the purchase tonight! Got Dewalt 18v Li-on jobby, with a case and a spare battery for £243. Saved about £43 with a eBay discount code, bargain!
  21. And how could I forget my anger at those who perform the most heinous crime of all the shit reversing toss pots out there?! Those who don’t wave when you’ve backed up for them! ???
  22. People’s inability to reverse does make for a good spectator sport, and really lets you train your poker face as you try not to laugh! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve got out and reversed someone else’s car for them to save time. Doesn’t save their pride or dignity, but speeds the day up!
  23. ‘R’ on the gear stick baffles folk doesn’t it? And as for those shiny things sticking out both sides.....
  24. One more meeting and he’ll be off the road mate!
  25. SWB Shogun only has 3 ton tow capacity. Could you get it updated J? Quick search on Autotrader and there are a few out there, not too old, but still a bit of cash involved. I know you said you drove one and it was a bit agricultural but I really like mine.
