  1. I can second the motion for McClarrons, they sorted all mine out for new business venture etc and for a very reasonable price.
  2. I’m probably going to get gunned down here, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I’ve been djing for neck on 20 years, and have been busy uploading my mixes to Soundcloud for the last few years. I’m fairly certain the vast majority of folk on here won’t be keen, but if anyone likes Progressive House music then my stuff could be right up your street! https://soundcloud.com/parttimesemipro Enjoy! ?
  3. Maybe in the future I’ll go back to Apsen, but for now I’m afraid it’s back to the old dirty 2 stroke for me!
  4. I've had this conundrum myself lately. I had always used two stroke until Mr @Gray git introduced me to Aspen. Once I set up on my own, I decided I'd move to Aspen solely. However, I simply can't justify the extra cost in my line of work. I was using on average £16-18 worth a day! When you compare that to the equivalent quantity in two stroke, I'm near as dam it saving £10 a day. I must admit I prefer the smell of Aspen, but I can deal with it!
  5. Think Ace Fixings in Penrith have a good range, or they used to anyway.
  6. That they can mate! If you're up this give me a shout as I'm working just close to Richmond. I'd be more than happy to show you the machine and the site etc.
  7. Yes, I am after something a bit lighter. 562 weighs more than 555 so not a good idea! 550 is 600g lighter than 555, which doesn’t sound much but might make it more tolerable for my kinda work. I am predominantly doing first thinnings and brushing out, so light and good bar length are important.
  8. Tough day with the machine today, but got a reasonable amount of product out. I've decided that tomorrow shall be a maintenance day! Don't fancy sweating my balls off in the predicted heat.
  9. Anyone got any experience of running a 550xp Mk2 with an 18 inch bar? I'm currently using a pair of 555's, with 15 inch bars, and they ain't doing my shoulder much good. I've had a Mk1 550 and it is noticeably lighter in the hand I reckon. Was thinking of treating myself soon, just wondered what knowledge was out there.
  10. And here’s me getting my 197bhp Shogun booked in for a remap to 240bhp..... ?
  11. @Gray git I called down yard and noticed there were a lot of vehicles still about. Then I noticed tractor, trailer, shitslinger and digger were gone. I knew it must have been a nasty chipping job!
  12. I canned my personal Facebook years ago. It was always the silly tarts and wankers who’d post something like “I wish some people would just leave it....” and then you’d get the obligatory reply of “you ok hun?” Followed by “yeah I’m fine, just don’t want to talk about it on here” WELL FUCKING DONT POST IT THEN YOU MASSIVE PRICK!!! ?
  13. Amen to that!
  14. Not technically today, but a few shots of the Logbullet in action of late.
  15. I’m intending to get a Dewalt battery one very soon, as the Logbullet is covered in grease nipples (The only nipples I get to fondle these days unfortunately!) Only getting Dewalt one as have cordless and impact driver all ready so can share batteries out between them all. I tried a Milwaukee one and was very impressed.
  16. Another vote for the Jenson 530T. Get the vari track one, with a winch fitted. You’ll be sorted. The slopey hopper is slightly annoying but you get used to it.
  17. Good shout. And the step up from handheld to backpack blower is also massive.
  18. Best typo ever!
  19. Now I’m sitting on the seat of my Logbullet most of the time, I use the Senas to listen to tunes and take calls. Great that I don’t have to stop working to take calls. But from an arb/tree surgery perspective, they are superb. Really improve safety massively. Plus you can chat shit all day.
  20. Sena comms. Absolute game changer IMO.
  21. Mate, that is savage. So sorry to hear, and really hope something comes of the police investigation.
  22. I just wanted to say thanks to Bob at Forsyth Forestry Training for sorting me out with my FMO ticket for my wee Logbullet. The time spent with him was very worthwhile, and I picked up some very useful tips and knowledge. Bob is a very easy person to get along with, and the atmosphere was very relaxed throughout. His communication beforehand and since the assessment has been great, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing forestry training. If you read this, thanks again mate!
  23. Following now mate. Good stuff.
  24. Cheers for comments folks, appreciate it. Services page is under construction, will be getting some action shots this week. And yes, there is an R missing, well spotted!
