  1. How much?
  2. That's ok, I don't own a chipper!! They could aim it at my head though, think I'm going through a bit of a phase at the moment, been rather ratty recently. Boiler broke, that's £2000 down the tubes and I've quit smoking!! Boy is the smoking bit hard though!
  3. I'll give you £550 for the pair
  4. Yeah fair one.. Ive had a few drinks just the now. Sorry Justme. I may have made a mistake on my invoicing, but how was I supposed to know? I'm not fully in business and this is how I learn, from my mistakes. The word rookie is something I'd use for a brash monkey on his first week. Not something I see myself. Anyway, sorry again.
  5. Yeah mate fully recommend it for what it is..
  6. I'm employed and just do bits on the side. Don't call me a rookie you muggy spunk guzzler
  7. I've got a husk 135 Will. I use it to mallet down on the back, stumps etc. It's basically there to get beaten up and for £185 it's already early it's keep. With a nice sharp chain it really isn't that bad. Hard work starting it sometimes though
  8. Haha, oh yeah! Had to zoom in, I'm viewing on my phone!!
  9. Ah man, what am I missing? I don't get the first one!!
  10. But up on kudos? would be a nice luxury to be able to choose only the best customers, but perhaps things like this just need to be factored in to projections. Just like retail stores have a percentage allowance for theft. They know it's going to happen, all they can do is try and minimise it.
  11. Oh damn! Maybe I'll give them 30 days, then contact them and ask how long their remittance is. And change the text on my invoices haha! I'm only a small outfit and the ones that require invoicing i have very good relationships with. When I won the quote for the Volvo job I almost got a semi in my pants as it should lead to good things, now I'm beginning to regret it if it's going to be aggro to see the money.
  12. How long do you leave it until you take action? I am awaiting payment from Volvo for some hedge reduction work I did. It's now been 2 weeks since invoice and I don't know whether I'm worried or pee'd off. I didn't stipulate in the invoice how long they have to pay, but, rightly or wrongly, how long do I leave it until I go and book a 'test drive'
  13. To what end? Does it only work if the stolen kit is recovered by the authorities then it can be cross referenced? What are the statistics for recovered kit?
  14. I make you right. Be under no illusion that people will buy stuff on the cheap. Temptation is a losing battle for the weak willed. It wouldn't surprise me if they are using the best bits for themselves.
  15. I'm no authority on the subject, but the stacks are probably awaiting collection. Someone may have bought the standing timber, felled and processed the trees, and already have sold the lot before it was even felled for use as firewood, wood pulp, biofuel, fencing etc. You'd be better off starting a thread asking to buy timber and striking a deal with some of the forestry guys on here. I can imagine it's all sold in bulk though, so be prepared for a big outlay... Then again I could be completely off the mark!! Someone should be along soon to correct me
  16. Did mine at kingswood training, maybe about 45 mins from you?
  17. I'm that good
  18. Hmmm, a bit uncouth though. A pellet to the head is a certainty. You can't garuntee a 'well aimed kick'.
  19. Wow, 'punt them'? As in kick them? Were you one of those loner kids who'd pour salt on slugs and burn ants with a magnifying glass? I go hunting so I'm no stranger to killing animals, but it's done humanely. Any creature thats going to die deserves a bit of dignity.
  20. Yeah you could be right. I haven't tried it in a real situation, and I'm not talking using it on some 3ft diameter beech or something. But if it makes things that little bit more user friendly then it's a good thing! I got it pretty tight on that log then yanked it up and no signs of slip.. I'll try it out and report back:)
  21. Don't get the time anymore. Trying to sell my commencal meta 5.5 at the moment... It's about 5/6 years old, cost £1800 new and I'm struggling to get £450 for it!!!
  22. We always do a nice big pot so I can have leftovers the next day
  23. That's a good idea actually.. Although not the best time for marketing as people's funds are being allocated on Christmas stuff. A good idea nonetheless.
  24. So what we saying.. A builders bag worth? Do you have to cut it selectively? Ie. Does it have to be certain lengths with secateurs or can you supply them with a bag of hedge trimmings?
