  1. I have had a frozen left shoulder 10 years ago and my right froze 5 years ago, absolute missery, neither of mine had cleared up after a year even with cortisone injections, so have had both operated on. The first one was done with keyhole surgery, after the surgery I could see the movement increasing about 1mm every day ( lie on back and see how far I could lift arm trying to get a straight arm fully back above head touching floor) took about 6 months to get full strength and mobility back. Second time was different, the surgeon injected air into the joint to free it off while taking constant x-Ray's to make sure he is in exactly the right position, sat upright watching the whole thing, rehab was a whole lot quicker, probably took a month to get back to full strength and mobility. Needless to say during these sore times I could not do any rock climbing or play badminton and work is limited. Wish I hadn't waited so long to get op. Had to go private to get op when I wanted it. Speedy recovery mate I know what you are going through and it's not funny.
  2. My brother and I did Crib Goch in March 2008, I fair enjoyed it, although most of my hill stuff is done in the Munroes. In the picture my brother has a bag of sand in his rucksack to weigh it down just to give him a better work out
  3. Can't answer your questions directly, but there is parts that wear our, for example the Pelton wheels can become damaged over time, and bearings get tired, as well as the usual maintenance of regular cleaning the water intake filter to remove frogs, leaves, dirt etc. I would love to have a suitable place for a wee hydro scheme. As mentioned earlier in the thread, Navitron is a good place to visit for info on their forum and for buying parts for a low cost set up.
  4. That looks good, bit like a quad bike on steroids. Can I have it please:biggrin:
  5. I think the 3 days you have given him is fair, you could raise a non payment with eBay and I think that involves them sending an email to the time waster and giving him another set time from memory it may be 3 days again, then the sale is cancelled and you are free to give the 2nd placed bidder a 2nd chance offer. It happened to me with a bike I was selling, person never replied etc etc I offered it to 2nd placed bidder no reply from them either so I relisted, got a lot less 2nd time round.
  6. Like the picture of the two owls Mick
  7. I have a Kukri which has a rhoddy handle, it will be getting well used to help cut its cousins down Steve I will keep my eye out for +4" stuff, although most of it tends to be smaller.
  8. Got acres of them to do myself, plan to get a few friends together and have a rhoddy bash and burn next month.

    R.I.P. Glen Fry

Quite a few of them passing at the age of 67 as well.
  10. How did that puncture your tire it's invisible
  11. Where is he about? maybe someone on the forum is nearby could pick it up and then courier it from there.
  12. It is a cigarette lighter, used for lighting cigarettes, starting fires etc. I'll get my coat.
  13. Cheers for that, although I did take the spark plug out and it pulled over no probs, bit of a rough test but I had to check.
  14. I use the 1600KG tirfor clone, cable use to be in a cage but for the last year I coil it into a motorbike front tire, much easier. Used it loads, from hung up trees to recovering transits out of drainage ditches to pulling out "up to the axles in mud" quad bike.
  15. I still run a Husky xp281, worst thing about it is starting it, it is a brute, needs a decompressor on it. Either that or I am being a girl.
  16. Have you checked to see if there is anybody in the boot, maybe with a chainsaw that didn't belong to him.

    Storage

Mick, if you don't mind me asking, what are the clips on the front of the two trestles?
  18. Well done mate, great attitude and great post.
  19. Got the BSA Ultra se .22, PCP, Hawke sights, 10 shot, moderator. Fabulous gun for the money, nice and short and light, and most importantly accurate, can usually put 10 pellets in a circle the size of a £1 coin and 25 yards.
  20. The disk cutter is something I would do that was why I was asking, doesn't sound immature at all to me, of course I am no benchmark
  21. That sounds like a good story re disk cutter, please tell more
  22. Totally agree, even although they will bombard you with very official looking demands they are all bollocks in Scotland, unless it is issued by Police or Council. Fairly certain I read about cases in England that ended in CCJ's getting issued though, so bit more risky in Englandshire.
