  1. Glad it’s working for you, better than collecting dust here. Cheers
  2. Approved hydraulics do, not sure how delivery/collection would work though without paying pallets both ways

  4. https://www.oxfordeconomics.com/recent-releases/8747673d-3b26-439b-9693-0e250df6dbba my new standard response to immigration talk!
  5. Happened to me a few years ago. Had full bike license pre 97 passed car test a little after but had grand father rights for trailer on paper license as had taken full ‘driving/riding’ test pre 97. Had it checked a few times on roadside stops over the years and all ok. Then sent it in for a change to Id card and got the new license back minus entitlement and had to take b+e test.
  6. Surely if it makes it more stable that’s better isn’t it?
  7. Did it lift the silage bale up to full height ok?
  8. Have a chat with jet wash north east at Cramlington Bill, I got a cracking 2nd hand marcher deisel hot wash from there for reasonable money. Knacked 3 household karcher type ones over the years and had a Honda engined cold one for a while but the big ones knock the socks of them and you can always flog it on later if need be. The heat is fantastic for degreasing parts etc.
  9. Is that good or bad?
  10. Too big? Too small?
  11. Looking for something to do both really. Got a Schaffer which is great but doesn’t lift a lot ie silage bales over ring feeders and is poor on gradients and an aging telehandler which is great for lifting lots but The more we build the smaller the yards getting!
  12. Could it lift that silage bale full height? Very I mpressive if it can move that sort of weight in farm environment
  13. No ones moving a ton about on a cheap compact tractor either. Be better off with a saw and wheelbarrow! If budget tight as said originally and you want something to lift and move heavy things as said originally a telehandler is the best bet I’d say.
  14. You’ll get a lot of telehandler compared to Tractor for the money, a lot less to go wrong and cheaper to run/own if you get the right one and should be fairly bombproof. But as said already you’ll be probably looking at 5-7 t plus whatever load you’ve got on.
  15. Looking for a load to ease costs on a trip I’m doing Friday, basically near Newcastle up to north of Dundee. I’ll have the 3.5t plant trailer on but won’t need anywhere near it’s capacity size or weight wise. So if you need something moved on route let me know cheers

  16. Awesome!
  17. Forgive me if someone else has already said it but do a trade with a cattle farmer who can use the chip to bed cattle and start the process of composting and add ended nitrogen for you. Straw prices are high so should be an easy trade to get them to move it and deliver the muck back if local enough
  18. Wire a switch up to the stop solenoid would be simple enough, but not sure how you’d route the cable easily.
  19. Wise words that should be told to all young men! Always a tough lesson that one ?
  20. Kids are grown pretty much so cash in an envelope, wife wanted some hazel fence panels..easily done and I’ve asked for a new mig welder when I’ve created some space in the workshop and got time to go buy one. i do miss the kids ripping wrapping paper off mega excited one minute, crying and fighting the next! Always made it a fantastic day. Obvs everyone gets a chocolate orange and new socks and pants!
  21. Makes you laugh all the mad shit dogs do ??? my terrier does things like this all the time and just makes you laugh lots and love him more! But weirdly I wouldn’t let the labs or collie get away with it, they must hate him.
  22. When not entertaining sheep ?
  23. What makes this forum so ace (most of the time) Good people!
  24. Cheers for the comprehensive list...Certainly sounds well thought out and lots of plus points over my woodland. Definitely like the chain adjustment. Although the cable looks consistent it doesn’t feel very precise and would imagine it’ll be worse in years of use. Was it much dearer? What bed length you going for? Would love to see it in the flesh, hopefully I’ll get to see it when I come up to get the stove ?
