  1. It's sad that they won't just stick to the main mans word of mouth. Gone are the days of a handshake being enough!
  2. That's no good though is it mate. Maybe you can knock some tax off but it's not right mate they should pay up !
  3. My parish is the same only have occasional waits on payments as cheques have to have 2 signatures on them so the clerk has to round 2 people up to sign!
  4. How much for a shipping container?
  5. I do a lot of work for my parish council. I've found the best way for getting work and also payment is to have a good relationship with the clerk!!
  6. Don't have one but try l and s engineers
  7. That was what it added to the pl insurance.
  8. That sound ok to me I've hit 10k @ just under £300
  9. Is that driver included? Nice bit of kit by the way!!
  10. That sounds like that lock on my small trailer. I've never had a bothered locking it as its only ever used in jobs that are either secure gated houses or when I'm fetching or taking something somewhere
  11. Thanks for that👍 I have the ball thing that I use when not hitched up. And it's always locked to truck behind a locked gate when I leave it somewhere So what do the ifors have? Never looked at one that closely.

  15. Are the Brian James ones as bad? Mine has an alko hitch on it I think would it be a good idea to change it or add more security? Also is it when attached to vehicle or when stood on its own or both?
  16. Have you tried going on stihls us website I'm sure they have parts diagrams on it. Also try l and s engineers in uk website as they have parts lists. Worth a try
  17. No worries thanks anyway. I think I will pick up the lidl one next time they have one. It does not matter too much to me as I only use the saw once a month at most!!
  18. I've got mine coming up soon from what I've heard as long as you pay attention you should not fail!!
  19. I'd be interested in that Oregon sharpener if no one else has asked for it thanks Richard
  20. That's the difficulty though isn't it. Letting the market stabilise itself. What happens during the first year /2 years after the state "subsidy" is taken away?
  21. Do business people always aim to be the cheapest quote? I know I don't. I charge the going rate just like landlords do. Not that I agree with the high property prices on all housing be it owned or rented. I worry for my kids chances of buying a house. I would like to move somewhere bigger but can't afford it. Surely the only cure for expensive housing is to flood the market with extra housing? But it won't happen due to planning laws and the fact that builders want to keep prices high? Just my thoughts
