  1. Bungalows are about the same price if not more than 3 story houses around here. They have much more land as well. I've got a postage stamp for a garden!
  2. I'd get a roofer in as its 3 stories high and I hate heights or maybe I'm just soft!!
  3. It will be s mini 4 stroke . They have been making them for years. Git a 15 year old 4 stroke Honda brushcutter.that still starts first pull(or second !!) point being they are good little engines just a bit heavy.
  4. I do the occasional day or half day splitting by hand just for my regular customers. £24 an hour. Minimum 2 hours but that's my normal charge for for non machine work. It's surprising how much you can split an hour with a chainsaw for length and splitting axe.
  5. Ivy will grow up anything not that I'd recommend it!
  6. Sorry to hear that. Must be worse than having work stuff go walkies. Hope they catch the b*********
  7. That sounds more like it! I thought I must be reading that wrong!
  8. I know nothing at all about this but is there really only 200 tonnes a day being harvested? That does not seem much to sustain an industry to me. How much does one tree weigh 1,2, 10 tonnes . Between all you firewood producers you must be processing more than 200 t a day?
  9. Am I missing something here? If you can give the bag dimension what is the problem?
  10. I know there is no room for guesstimates with weights and measures. However all the log sellers have been doing something for a long time. Maybe a crate could be made up in various sizes and bags filled inside this. Weights and measures won't care if you give too much away! They want to know you are not giving too little unless it's a controlled substance like alcohol etc. You could sell it as minimum 50kg (not enough I know )as long as people know what they are getting that would not matter. Unless you are willing to try and go down the calorific value route.
  11. Surely you can just weigh one bag of each weight and then sell each as having a minimum weight of xxxKG. Big fuss over not much seems to me?
  12. You can get pretty much what you want if your willing to pay for a bespoke trailer I would think. I've seen trailers with Ali planks as the floor
  13. I worries might well look anyway just out of interest!trailer is at Nottingham anyway not Lincoln
  14. Do you think the banks should have been allowed to fail? I don't think it's great that they were bailed out but what choice was there? It would have been an awful lot worse. The banks that received money should not have been allowed any profit or profit sharing until loan was paid back imo
  15. In Lincoln but not at the minute when I get back I will look at it and see but I don't think sides come off as the mud guards/wheel arches are attached to them! Also the drop ramp needs to attach to something when it's been lifted up fir transport.
  16. Sorry just read that sides need to come off not sure they do? The mesh can come off not sure about the rails? I think the problem is you want big trailer versatility on a small trailer and I'm not sure there is one ! I have a big flatbed that does all you want but it weighs 750 kg+ empty. I'm old so licence is not a factor for me😀 On the towing front the big twin axle 18ft including drawbar is easier to manoeuvre than the small one which like to please itself when reversing!!
  17. I've got a 6 1/2 by 4 indespension mesh side with loading ramp. The floor is flat as the wheels are on the outside of the bed. This one http://www.indespension.co.uk/unbraked-small-equipment-trailer/28-se07064r-unbraked-trailer.html Is mine about £1200 with sides I think but maybe find s second hand one for a decent price? I would sell mine for the right price as I've not used it in months!!
  18. Sorry to hear it mate hope you get a payout quick not many folks with 20k sat there waiting to spend on new gear! It reminds me that I need to up my insurance not got enough cover anymore need to do it in the morning I think before it's too late. Maybe you get lucky and it finds its way home.
  19. I've had mine 4 months love it tow about 1.5 tonnes regularly don't know if it will cause problems in the future time will tell. Bit thirsty but they are big motors. Maybe a touch noisy on motorway but apart from that I've no complaints as I live in Lincolnshire and we have no motorways!!!
  20. That looks to be a great bit of kit. What's the retail price on one of those. Must make life so much easier
  21. I wonder if and when they scrap /lower these tax credits that the system will shock itself and wages rise as a result? If enough people were forced into the dole not being able to afford to work that employers may take note
  22. Be careful mate sounds well dodgy. Looks reasonable but I'd be wary of buying from people with such a poor grasp of English. Almost looks to be a scam but I could be wrong
  23. Where the 90% from? Just wondering.....
  24. Do you think we live in a great society now?
