  1. Here's another I bought also very informative
  2. Good book that lots of tips etc
  3. Yes still have one although don't need it now. Had a Stanley range and a Hunter Herald connected up to one with great results. Got rid of the Stanley Once we fitted the biomass boiler. Which is tied into the vented system with zone valves. Should have some pictures some where if you need
  4. Ffs enjoy
  5. I think it's just the bar mount is the same as the rest of the bigger husky (095) I think and 3/8" chain as standard
  6. Thanks Mdvaden
  7. Top of a hill and loads of wind
  8. Yes I keep my wood for my biomass in 1.2 x 1.6 x 1.2 deep boxes. Made them myself so the front opens up for access to wood and 50mm gaps between boards. I build in 3 rows of 500mm long wood and stack boxes 3 high and the top one has an old curtain side cover on top. This way I just lift the box of wood into biomass shed with tractor and loader. Using cut up slabs from milling at the moment and MC between 14>20% at the moment. Even with driving rain the wood stays dry
  9. I have a hunter herald 14 and bought the optional thermostat control for it! I then fitted it the wrong way round and the hotter it got the more it opened and the hotter it got. So you definitely have an air leak some where
  10. Mdvaden what would be the best park to see the redwoods as I'm over on holiday on the 4th July for 3 weeks.
  11. Fitted mine and the liner! Didn't know you needed to have it fitted by a professional!! Plummer pipes the boiler to the Dunsley Neutralizer and hey presto no greif for the last 6 years
  12. Here's ours although it's only used on very cold days when the biomass can't keep up with the drafts
  13. Even 12kw is a lot for a smallish room unless you live in an old house! Leave the door open and the drafts in the house will soon circulate the excess heat [emoji1]
  14. I've got the hunter herald 14 multi fuel wilh a back boiler Never used anything other than wood but always nice to have the option. Would not like to fit the herald 14 without a back boiler as its 14kw a lot of heat for a small room. Even with the back boiler (4kw to room 10kw to boiler) it heats the living room 4.5m x 3.5m with no problem. The only issue I have is the glass does not stay clean as the boiler steals all the heat
  15. I use Parquip in Devon for hydraulic fittings reasonable (compared to Aberdeen) cost and great service from Nick
  16. At home this weekend off to Invergordon Monday for a week will give you a shout when I get back
  17. I'll take you up on that offer sometime! Steal a look at your Woodlands mill at the same time!! Did you buy the chain mortiser online or at Travis Perkins as they are £1188 Inc vat at the moment.
  18. Raising the roof on an old shed and making a cross between a hammer beam truss and a scissor truss. Have loads of mortise joints to make. Made two mortises today and they took an age to make!! Is the chain mortiser quick and easy to set up? And easy to use?? Also I see that makita do one but so do Festool. Which is best to use on timbers up to 12" x 12"
  19. I dont move fast though, thats what the scroats are paid for. [emoji6] They were always called drilling mongs on the rigs I was on! But I was maintenance so the mongs encompassed drillers and tool pushers.
  20. The 51 plate Shogun I had was a disaster front wheel bearings, dual mass flywheel switches on gearbox front wheel bearings again and wiped out abs sensor at great cost! A Friday night machine I guess. Stick with Toyota as every middle east war lord has a fleet of them with 50 cal's bolted to the back!! Don't see many discos with the same
  21. No idea!! Chain jammed and this was why. Running a 3120xp so it shouldn't be chain speed as it was under load! Heyho life goes on
  22. Started milling today but not for long. Mailed Rob@chainsawbars and he sorted me out with part numbers for replacements.
  23. I think he was replying to underwater mining for battery elements like cobalt etc
