  1. You certainly get to play with lots of toys at "work" 😎
  2. You're very welcome to the Poplar, free if you collect it (to manically busy to deliver, especially if it's Düsseldorf 😊) a donation to our charity would be appreciated (don't drink anymore) PM me some details and I'll phone you tomorrow.
  3. Westbrook Agricultural Supplies in Rudgwick near Horsham are good and will deliver to you. Lots of contractors in the SE use them. (I used to work there) Hope this helps
  4. I've got some poplar freshly cut if that's any good?

    Small airline

Ah yes, the Isle of Man. 20,000 alcoholics, clinging to a rock in the middle of the Irish Sea 😊 (Sorry, couldn't resist that!) Used to go and watch the TT races there. Great place to visit. No tax or H&S, what's not to like.
  6. Using the cradle method took my throwing to the next level quite quickly. I've never been very good at throwing anything ever, really, so it was a pleasant surprise to be able to get to a reasonable standard quite quickly. I think one of the reasons it works well is that you line the target up through the centre of your body not to the side. (If I try one handed I always seem to aim wide.) I went out one Sunday afternoon with my throw line to some big oaks and spent a couple of hours practising. I came home with a new skill 🙂 Also, it seems to work better if I don't stand to close to the tree. I'm definitely not making out I'm an expert or anything, I'm just saying that it made a massive difference.
  7. Nice blower! ..... Is it ported?!

Safety deposit boxes.... Oops wrong thread!!
  9. Loveable old rogues.....eh? (Cor blimey guvnor.... Real pea souper it is tonight... Fog, gas light, Jack the Ripper ... Half a crown on the meter guv... My old man used to know Reggie Kray y'know... Real gent he was... Lurvely ) Until you're the victim.
  10. Another 9 months and ours will be paid off!! Likewise, it amazes me where our mog will fit. It's surprisingly well suited to domestic Arb. Look forward to seeing the progress you make with yours 🙂
  11. Thanks for your reply. Yours is the only one I've ever seen. We're still paying our mog and chipper off !! Maybe in the future...... No harm in dreaming! Having said that, the majority of our work is back yard domestic. If we ever start doing site clearances etc.. then we would have to look at something similar. Perhaps
  12. Really love that Vermeer track machine. What lift capacity does it have?
  13. I find my treemotion very busy with lots of straps hanging about on it. I love the lower D's though (I've hardly ever used the side D's on mine) It is a very comfy harness though.
  14. Hope you heal quickly, mate. Get well soon.
  15. Do these sort of people actually get any joy out of their pathetic lives? Only the joy that they manage to suck out of other people's lives.
  16. In 9 years of doing quotes and subsequent work from them, I can only recall a couple of jobs where payment was a problem.
  17. Thanks for the comments guys. Rob Wells was the climber, I ran the ropes. Rob made the job go super quick. Very enjoyable when you can land everything right by the chipper.
  18. A few pics of this weekends job. Some tricky overhanging laterals over fragile roofs called for some creative rigging solutions. Pre tensioned lines with a floating anchor.
  19. Took mine to the local dealers this morning and got an instant replacement MK3. 😎. Didn't even buy it there. No drama whatsoever
  20. Mines cracked now! Only in one place but it's going back
  21. In 9 years of using saws I've never greased a bar/nose sprocket or clutch bearing (I have on a 261 once it melted though).
  22. I wondered where you had got to, Elliot Without wanting to sound cheesy, your machine is in another league.
  23. Wow 5 places... I keep checking my mk2 all the time. It's there right in front of me, I'll be even more attentive now. As far as I can tell the Mk 3 only has beefier top links. Yours looks like its fractured on every link. I wonder if anyone has had a Mk 3 fail yet?
  24. Or afford them 🙂
  25. Sounds like a better bet than venom.
