  1. I did think of you when I wrote that. I hope you weren't offended!

  3. I can still smell the fox pee now. Glad I'm on a different job today.
  4. Horsham
  5. We used to do the grass in a big churchyard in Derbyshire. Mowing, strimming and a bit of hedge work. Didn't pay great but we got a fair bit of other work through it. We used it to train the guys how to operate grass cutting equipment etc.., it came in handy for that and the people in the church were a really nice bunch. Once the guys had given it a couple of cuts they were very competent.
  6. Half a mog full left to clear tomorrow.
  7. Unusual job..., customers relative had felled 16 x 30ft conifers with an AXE! and cross stacked them and left them for someone else to clear up... In this case.... Us. Stinking job.
  8. I watched the spiderjackery videos and it certainly looked incredible. I tried one a frame at the APF it felt nice and responsive and I liked the thumb brake. It's just that I wasn't convinced that it would suit a lot of the work that I do..... ( eg Lots of stinking conifers☺️)
  9. A great book to get is The Fundamentals of General Treework by Gerald F Beranek. It's got masses of great info in there.
  10. Regular strip downs with a thorough clean would be essential I think. I nearly bought the 2.1 but went with the ZZ in the end. Looking forward to reading the reviews and feedback on it. Wonder how it would perform in dense conifer removals.
  11. Wow! Quarter of a grand for a friction device... It does look amazing though. Does it come with its own display case?
  12. Tranquilliser
  13. Totally unique. His music was timeless. RIP "I'm an alligator , I'm a mama papa coming for you"
  14. It's my winter coat mate 🍰🎂🍡🍰🍰🍩🍩🍩

  16. Hi mate, We've had ours for 2 years (same model) and were advised to run on white even though it's registered AG. We did get pulled and dipped, as soon as they saw we were on white they were gone with no further questions. I did hear of an Arb firm getting theirs impounded for running on red. Personally I don't think it's worth the risk. All the best with it Timon
  17. Oops... I was going to say welcome the family. But my phone screen is wet. 👍
  18. Welcome to the (❤️👌🏾
  19. Was it something to do with a lack in suitable cast members for the nativity ???
  20. I have to admit I'm unable to keep up! I like the fact that I'm building a reference library courtesy of someone else's hard work and research. So your labours are appreciated even though I don't have the time to read as quickly as you post. Thanks Timon
  21. Zillon is ace! Doubles as a secondary mini climbing system if you use it on the longer sizes available, but is still very effective when right up close to the stem. No levers to knock while you are working which is why I was put off the SJ in the first place.
  22. Was that a Hadron colidascope by any chance?
  23. Yeah, you know... Harness.
  24. Nice, Mark. Doesn't it have a tendency to get caught up in conifers? It's looks rather on the large side to hang off your harness.
  25. There have been reported sightings of pine martens near where I live in Warwickshire. Fabulous animal.
