  1. Window cleaning. (Old school with a ladder) clearing the sand of the back line on Bournemouth beach. Working on the bins. Concrete gang on a construction site. Etc. I'm glad I get to do what I'm doing now. I love it 🙂👍👍
  2. Hardest job I ever did was pushing two buttons on a production line in a factory that made steel buildings. I knew if I stayed there I would die slowly. Very slowly. There are different types of "hard" Hand dig outs landscaping are hard. But they aren't stressful Long distance lorry driving is hard in the sense that it is mentally tiring. Driving a telehandler on a busy construction site is very stressful. As well as running an Arb business my wife and I also run a recovery centre for ex-addicts and alcoholics. I have a 9-5 job and a 5-9 job, both are demanding in different ways. But both are hugely rewarding (not in the financial sense though) I've had some really awful jobs, but the thing that made them hard was the fact that I hated doing them. I've had some really physically demanding jobs. Fencing,
  3. Hope you get sorted Steve. It's horrible when people don't pay what they have agreed.

    About time!

I think this must be the first decent EU decision I have heard about. It's about time big corporations were made to pay their wack. Apple 'should repay Ireland 13bn euros' Apple 'should repay Ireland 13bn euros' - BBC News
  5. I use it as a friction hitch on ddrt with a hitch climber system occasionally and also on a work positioning soft lanyard. Ocean polyester e2e 8mm is my preference.
  6. If none of the above works a lighted match should get it going...
  7. Should of done her CS38🐵 Early human ancestor Lucy 'died falling out of a tree' Early human ancestor Lucy 'died falling out of a tree' - BBC News
  8. Use it for guy lines.
  9. Use it to pre-tension rigging lines.
  10. Until I learn to splice, it's my favourite termination.
  11. Think it's a 16mm auger bit. Steve. I've done some before in discs but can't remember the exact size.
  12. My Mrs happens to be a yank. Native American and Norwegian descent from Iowa. I don't always agree with her on that basis, mind.
  13. Do mean a branch roll? (In queens English) I agree.
  14. Perhaps we should find ways of harvesting the energy of the ravers. Converting mdma into electricity, that would be cutting edge technology.
  15. Bad day at someone's office. I wouldn't to be paying their premiums after that.
  16. forced to drive it, you mean Bob?
  17. Speedos and a silky. That's what you call minimalist
  18. Think it will take more than a few turbines to offset that! I doubt any of their senior executives live in the same area as their operations.?
  19. Ps sorry to hear about this Eggs. I've been through it. It's not nice.
  20. I don't think collies make good house pets especially with kids. I've known a number of them turn. They're known to be highly strung and like most working breeds, if they aren't doing what they were bred to I.e working. Then they are susceptible to behaviour problems. I know not everyone will agree with me but it's what I've experienced over the years. If I was looking for a dog to have as a pet with kids a collie wouldn't even make the list as a possibility.
  21. Welcome! Mine sat on the shelf for months before I used it. If only I had known how easy it is to rescue damaged chains. I still prefer the little roller guides for Husky and Oregon chains with a hand file, but for damaged chains the little flora best grinder is unbeatable value.
  22. There is a metal guide/flap that pushes up behind the cutter body on the chain, this can be adjusted by the screw behind it. If you look for the most damaged/blunt link on the chain and use that to set the amount you want to grind off. This will ensure that each link ends up the same size after grinding. (When I said depth of cut I didn't mean just pushing down into the chain I meant the amount of material to be taken from the cutting edge of each link.) I hope this makes sense
  23. Great vid Mark. The rope running was pure class.
  24. Saturday for us lot..
  25. Yes that's right. Set the guides to the desired depth and angle of cut and pull the chain through from left to right. It's really easy once you suss it.
