  1. Did i mention that? cant find a blasted picture anywhere
  2. One last time the end of the wire DOES NOT go in the small hole it sits in the larger opening in the throttle spindle.
  3. Did you put the end of the wire into the small hole in the throttle spindle???????
  4. Ok, back to where you have located the throttle wire in the throttle spindle.
  5. Here are both types of plates
  6. are you sure this is a 55? there is somthing strange about about the filter plate, the extention here was for the machine that had no choke, the filter was pushed onto the end of the extention by an external thumb lever to create an over rich mixture to start.
  7. On a side note i cannot remember the carb being held on with studs and nuts, is this some type of mod? also the clear fuel hose was never standard.
  8. Another senior moment i guess!!
  9. need to know how you fixed the other end to the throttle shaft, there is a hole in the shaft the wire does not fit into this hole it sits into the large opening in the shaft.
  10. Where are the pictures??

    Tuning?

The old Partner 550 will have a button to lock the throttle part open, as i recall the carb has a govenor in it to stop the engine over revving, carb settings will not be too far away at 1 and 1 on H and L screw maybe a slight richen on the L screw if it does not pick up clean.
  12. Looks like pacman to me

You need to remove the plate that the carb is bolted to, behind here you will find both inlet tube and impulse seal.

    A genuine Partner.

    Partner 550

Plenty of parts no longer availble for this machine, most starter parts, no chain brake parts etc.

This machine could be either the Husqvarna 36 or 136, there are plenty of things to check, the rubber induction tube for splits, the impulse seal spli, the flywheel side seal blown inside out, fuel filter blocked, should keep you going for a while.
  18. Done properly it does not affect any warranty, there is never any need to heat the carb in this country with out crap fuel.
  19. You should really remove all the components and the wireing to make a good job of it, some of the wires will remain live.
  20. Sorry should have said i would always remove the carb heater it is not required in this country.
  21. The heater element is sited between the back of the carb and the air filter housing, it is easily removed however you also need to remove the thermostate on the top of the carb and the wiring, one wire requires removing the heater switch, the wire is in a terminal here, another wire goes to earth under one of the carb floor screws.

    560 loose screw

Flange headed screws are external screws, due to the length it has probably come from the floor under the carb, there are four here one in each corner.
  23. Some times you need to shot from the hip, and tell it how it is.

    560 loose screw

Dont worry i think rem284 will be back when somthing falls off or goes bang.
  25. If this saw has been running with no fuel filter in the tank the carb will be full of crap.
