  1. Thanks for the reply monkeymoreton, is a Chinese saw 58cc maybe: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=royal+4645+chainsaw&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwj4jrOP3L3TAhVKJMAKHRr7C0oQ_AUICCgD&biw=1366&bih=600#imgdii=t8yMqVNphcbsyM:&imgrc=qIcYw0x_qK5VlM: It originally had the smaller depth bar with what i would call a standard 18" much lighter chain....
  2. Hope someone can give me some advice on this. I recently bought a Oregon chain for a saw, this is the one I bought: [ame=https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00665KPX0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1]Oregon 73LPX068E Chain, 3/8-inch Pitch, 68 Drive Links: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame] The chain fits the bar fine as that is the type of chain stamped on the bar, this is the one I have: [ame=https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0029ZQDZ0/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_2]Makita 415045655 45 cm/18-Inch Sprocket Nose Bar - Multi-Colour: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame] However I don't think the sprocket on the saw is correct for the chain, its a 325-7T similar to this: OREGON PRO CHAINSAW SPROCKET DRIVE RIM 11892 .325 7 TOOTH | eBay I'm not even sure what i'm looking for even exists however the chain seems to grind on the sprocket a lot. Can anyone tell me if there is a different type of sprocket available to suit this setup? Thanks in advance....
  3. This is what I bought and installed, I slid the little black cap on one end and the hooked the other end onto the carb Throttle linkage rod for Husqvarna 50, 51, 55 chainsaws, new, 501 77 80-02 | eBay
  4. Mine seems to be like the bottom one.... see here: http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p452/richard_harris15/20170215_214831_zpsoqmh2ucj.jpg
  5. This is the side casing http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p452/richard_harris15/20170215_192323_zpsgs8c6p0i.jpg However I can see where you are coming from, I dont know the saws full history an I am beginning to thinks its a bitsa.....
  6. Your quite correct, some other "saw mechanic" decided to ring off the threads on the manifold so instead of buying a new one i replaced them with bolts in from the back, much stronger job I reckon. Yes the fuel hose was also replaced is it was torn at the entrance to the tank.
  7. Yes, its a new carb I fitted to it and a new guide. Its a real mystery I have had it apart numerious times. Even thought the handle was sitting too far back but that obviously not the case... ;(
  8. Sorry image hosting issues.. Throttle Open http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p452/richard_harris15/throttleopen_zpsxeh12dyv.jpg Throttle Closed http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p452/richard_harris15/throttleclosed_zpsbhlm09t2.jpg
  9. Hi New to the forum... hope someone can help! I have a Husqvarna 55 chainsaw that I got to repair, I bought a new throttle linkage for the machine, however the problem I am having is that the link end (plastic) part catches on the plastic guide when the throttle is opened hence the throttle wont operate at times and jams. I have included a couple of pictures to show what I mean. I am assured the link I bought is the correct one, failing that I am either parts missing or there is severe wear somewhere else!
