  1. I am going to get them to do a contract lift, the problem is that the job will only take 3 hrs but they want a full days hire for it, £750 plus vat. That's for a 25 tonner. The tree is rotten, can't be lowered as no anchor points, no trees nearby, can't be felled as leaning towards building, and rotten at base, there are 2 large limbs over building roof, the only way to do it is by crane.
  2. If you have an accident and you have the windblown ticket cs34 I think, then your insurance will cover you if you don't it won't. An estate shouldn't be using you to do stuff you are not qualified to do, even if you have been doing it for years in the eyes of the hse you are not capable. If you don't have 30/31 them you cannot use a saw on sites etc or be covered by insurance, this is the same.
  3. cheers but its 500 quid more!! last time i used this company they didnt ask for a lift plan?
  4. Those 2 wanna get a room:001_rolleyes:
  5. please can anyone advise me on how to write up a crane lift plan? i have not had to do one before:blushing:
  6. good luck mate, if i hear of owt i will be in touch.
  7. I know what you mean, I took on a nice landscaping project for my mates sister to see me through, I have 4 days of tree jobs booked until the end of the mont and then nothing really, the phone has gone dead in the last 2 weeks. I looked at 2 jobs and put in a fair price and never heard back. I have noticed over the last couple of years that people are being more choosey with their spending and in a lot of cases the trees end up way down the list. I paid a company to get me to the top of google for a month after they were telling me the amount of enquirers they were having for tree work in my area, I have had no calls from this as the few calls I had I asked and they were either word of mouth or had seen my local paper add. I should have kept my money, I won't be going down the google line again! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Pruning cost ?

Work out your daily costs, fuel, tools, insurance, waste removal, then add on how much you want for doing the job and bingo that's how much you charge.
  11. That happened to my 660 too:)

    Insurance

Give Trust a call, I have been with them for 8 years and they are very good.
  13. I do, things I have found are the suspension rubbers/steering wear quicker, but the brake pads and discs wear quickest. My clutch has lasted 63k and only changed it coz I had a new gearbox, the gearbox went and I was told its coz I tow a lot of weight. Having said that they are brilliant:)
  14. It's all over, 18-11 to ronnie!!
  15. It's done 63k so not much miles, it does get worked hard though. I wanted to get a price on one though as they are stopping making them next year I think so it was out of intrest more than anything.
  16. Polish Pete is.
  17. London is full of Man Utd fans too.
  18. Tell us where you are based mate, experience etc. that would help in your quest.
  19. Good goal though from Andy overprice.
  20. Liverpool have been poor.
  21. My local blacksmith sends his stuff to Liverpool, they collect it. Dip it and bring it back. They collect all over the north west. They may collect from Penrith.
  22. It's like a kinder egg but smaller.

  24. I drove a 90 the other day towing my tracked chipper and it was great, plenty of grunt pulling up hills. I'm just pricing up a 130 crew cab tipper at the mo as I'm thinking of changing.
