  1. Cheers mate, problem is the stone is inside as well, I am thinking putting a big price on it to include a new bar and a couple of chains and just plodding away at it for a couple of days, the customer needs it out as the are building steps into the wall where the steps are so they have to come out, all digging is by hand as no size digger can get in, it's an awful situation where the stump is. 2. is there any chain available that cuts stones as well as wood:confused1: I have a very large ash stump to remove that has grown around stones, i need to cut it down before i can try to grind it. it is 36" high and 36" wide. it is at the top of a wall on a terrace, no access for large grinder or any size digger from ground level it will be about 80ft. any ideas??
  3. Did you get a Mog?
  4. Carlton 4012 are good, I had 1 and it was great.
  5. Why not run a hydraulic one off your mog? You could move it around to jobs too.
  6. No worries Andy, it's a touchy subject for me as I am struggling with lack of work at the mo, I have lost several jobs lately, not to professional outfits but to people with no training, insurance, propper kit etc and I have been thinking of jacking it in. I have been going 11 years now and pumped alot of money and time into my company and dont want to loose it.I agree it's hard when starting out and this forum can be a great help to people.
  7. It was my thread that Andy replied too/
  8. I dont see you telling other people to man up, why just me? I thought you were supposed to be a mod on here?
  9. Man up? Yeah what ever. I posted my opinion to his situation is that not allowed? I don't have to agree to what he is doing do I so I can put my opinions on here as far as I'm aware I haven't broken any rules by doin so.
  10. Chain sharpening? You pay to have your chain sharpened?
  11. Excellent! Earning 19k and then wanting more by charging peanuts and taking work from real firms. Doing tree work? Do you have tickets and insurance?
  12. My thoughts also
  13. Nice 1, were at week 30 and it's all becoming real, baby's moving and kicking its well cool. The scans are awesome when you go for the 20 week scan and you can see it move about.
  14. Do you actually get on with anyone? I have read this thread am baffled as to you attitude?
  15. That is shocking, how can you report that? It needs reporting. I just hope someone does not buy it.
  16. I hope you doubled your original price, just call it Plonker tax.
  17. That's what I was thinking. If you have a good climber and I mean good then that work you describe should take 1 day for 3 men or a long day for 2. I would be happy to get £650 for that.
  18. Read the post mate, it's piece work, like per tonne felled:) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  19. 1500 quid. That's down and chipped and everything gone.
  20. If you don't like it, don't read it!
  21. I got invited to go recently, then they told me it was £600 a year so I turned it down. Not my thing.
