  2. Fairly sharp but not new sharp, I am going to change them before I go and chip anymore of that stuff.
  3. I agree with dartmoor, they are easy to get bits for and are easy to work on.
  4. I changed the bearings back in January mate so they should be ok. It's been very wet today, the main street of Kendal was like a river, Iceland flooded!!
  5. We chipped an elm yesterday and then moved onto another job of chipping an elm, the chipper blocked up, we cleared it and it blocked again, I took the side cover off and found a snapped flywheel belt, thus not having enough power to blow through wet,sappy elm. I stripped the machine today and this is what I found Cleaned it out and fingers crossed.

  7. hi, i have just bought a second hand splitter, it works fine but when it has split the log the you let go of the handle and the ram returns and the engine stalls, the old splitter i had did not do this. is there a problem with the valve or is it piped up wrong:confused1: any ideas would be great.

  19. I was based in San Francisco and we drove All the way up the coast to fort Bragg and also along the redwood high way ( 101) from santa rosa where there was an awesome skate park to county, lots of redwoods there. Good weed too:)
  20. I went and looked at various redwood forests while I was there in 96/97/98, I went to humboldt county, Mendocino county and various other places. Get this book and check out some of the places in it. At the time I was t really into trees, I was into skateboarding and there were loads of skateparks around these places.
  21. I like small jobs, sometimes a few small jobs in the day pay more than 1 big job without the hassle:)
