  1. How much is a u20 then Chris?
  2. I don't mean to sound harsh mate but why not price the job properly to start with then you wouldn't have this problem. When I started I got rid of stuff to a farmer who burnt it, I went round every farm till I found one who could help. Then I started hiring a chipper and included it in the price of the job. Then I bought a chipper on finance and charged it onto each job, that's how a professional company does it. If you don't want to do that then you should seriously think if you should be doing this job.
  3. I have just been reading in landrover monthly about the agrover, it had pto and 3 point link, portal axels, they said it was the link between the normal landy and unimog, they never took off which is a shame as there would be a market for something inbetween.
  4. Very true, I'm just lucky I have plenty of dumps around my patch that I can go and drop at, also having a tracked chipper helps as I persuade the customer to keep the chips:)
  5. I could do with a crane at the moment as my back is knackered from lifting heavy stuff:)
  6. After being involved in numerous posts regarding mog v landrover v hi lux etc I have come to the following conclusion. For me and my work that earns me my living the landrover is perfect, as much as I think mogs are cool they just wouldn't be any good for me. I know skyhuck and mr Blair and others swear by them but that's there operation not mine. When posting comments on landrovers I am offering my opinion and my experience as to how good I find them. If my customer base and work allowed I would consider a mog, as it is I find the landy the perfect link between the two. I had a navarra for a while before I got a landrover and it was great for cruising on the m way but it's towing weight and height for off road work limited its use. Each to their own or whatever floats your boat. At the end of the day it's wrong to say x is better than y as they suit different needs.
  7. More like the one your watching now Mozza. LOL:)
  8. Oh no were back here again!! they ain't for me but that iveco of yours is looking like something I would like, how good are they off road?
  9. That's great mate. Ha,Ha. You should ring him up in the middle of the night and give him an earfull.
  10. When you said you sharpened the blades how did you do it?
  11. Oh yeah and hi lux are fault free, yawn. My landy has stuff break so what? I tow everyday, I off road every day, I go pretty much anywhere I need to in it, I can carry lots of wood, I winch stuff and I couldn't do my job without it.
  12. Fuel pump maybe mate?
  13. Your not going to tell us the answer is in your avatar are you:)
  14. It IS banter man, I'm just agreeing with the other post. No malice was intended.
  15. and your point is? Landys are far better off road, I've had to pull a few hi lux's out of the mud before.
  16. He's right I'm afraid.
  17. I used to have a 700, It did me well, I needed something that processed bigger timber. I found the belts a right pain to change. Mine was a 1996 model.
  18. Unimogs are for gimps! Get off our thread!!
  19. I'm on my second pair, I love them!!
  20. There is an easier way, buy it off one of the log sellers on here. Lol.
  21. And do u know how to sharpen a chain correctly as I'm supprised at the amount of sharpening you are doing?? Imagine how much a band saw would need sharpening. A circular saw would be better.tungstan tip.
  22. When you say large lorry loads, what size lorry is for 450?
  23. I wouldn't put portal axels on if your going off roading mate, they were prone to the chains snapping if one wheel lost grip and started spinning and then bit it can snap the chains.
  24. ther is a guy on arbtalk that is the dealer for multi tip.
  25. i have a rayco rg13mkII, i fitted the multi tip cutting system, it was about 400 quid but worth every penny, it out performs all the other teeth including green teeth. it feels like a bigger machine. yesterday i did a 10" connie stump in under 15 mins including unloading and tidying up.
