  15. If it was deeper an more extensive area might cause an issue but it probably won't do much harm. Id say up to you what to do. Im not keen on Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora if thats what the plants are is as they can be abit invasive and people dump it on verges. But hard to ID atm.

  17. Think I "Fixed" it. I took the the carb off another saw and it now seems like it runs ok, so looks its was some issue with the carb. Still have another (the same model )not fixed. Symptoms are I can't adjust carb to idle right, either the chain turns or or cuts out, & it also cuts out and bogs in the cut. Think it might be an air leak as tried a new carb and new coil with no improvement Was a cheaper after market chinese coil though. I've checked the piston from exhaust side its looks ok. Anything else to check apart from a pressure vac test?
  18. Hi how did this go? Having similar issues with the same saw. Cut some barn dry half rotton birch up for someone and there was alot of dust think its caused a carb issue.
