  2. How much do you charge per bush cord?
  3. Pottery mugs were ok for several 1000's of yrs till people decided it was necessary in the last few decades or so have too walk down street carrying a cofee cup. Same with people that walk everywhere clutching a plastic mineral water bottle which i find odd. Don't really see the need for either plastic or paper mugs. If people want to they should just have to bring there own mug, and cafes have proper mugs that are nicer to drink from anyway.
  4. Being using that arbor knot on hazel bundles after reading this thanks.

    Birch

Rainfall varies alot and wind. Average is around 1400mm here North Wales but last few yrs being wetter than average. I tried doing beech logs in a similar way, Made circles of sheep netting ontop of pallets open sides with a tarp on top and it started rotting. I reckon germans must have different climate for there Holz Hausen to work.

Depends how wet your local climate is but would be not be that good here ( gales and sideways rain half the yr ) but might be ok-ish where you are.

Seen a big scots pine last for yrs with similar branch torn off with no ill effects and zero intervention Maybe certain conifers are better at compartmentalization of decay than many other species?
  11. Also willow lime and popular fairly common trees but less good as firewood, And used to be elm was very common before they got wiped out from dutch elm disease. Ash in danger also now...from ash dieback as its all over the UK.

  15. How are you planning to deal with all the roots/stumps ?
  16. Assume there will be a new echo 50cc along some time as has being the new ms261 ans 550xp? Iv'e often wondered about product range, marketing price points, and manufacturing costs. If say once the factoery production line is set up, the costs don't vary much betweeen making say a ms170 or 550xp so profit margin is alot higher on one than another?
