  1. Iv'e got the old version of that makita one. Replaced the brushes twice on it its had alot of use. I like it although its a very old design and makita could probably easily make a better brushless motor one now. Huskys one is near identical to the makita same plastic moulding different colour plastic Corded lecky saws seems like a backwater development wise an area left for cheap tat brands or to niche to bother with much quality wise.   4. If alot of 2ft trees you needs something bigger i reckon 60cc or more. Makita EA6100P45D maybe is - its in your budget
  5. 12ha strimming... can a sit on ride rough cut on not fit between the trees terrain isn't suitable? Good vid on re-spacing regen Alsways though these pole saws looked good for denser scrub? Gorse blackthorn thickets etc..

There top one is carbon fibre shaft and 2kw motor, looks as good as the the top battery stihl or husky stuff probably better...   13. Tree roots really like invading up into the bottom of compost heaps though all thoose extra nutrients bit like a mulch layer... So I think can be also benefit as well has a negative depends.....

  16. If you are near mains a corded one is handy for small/meduim diameter logs and will cut faster than ms181 as more power HUSQVARNA 420EL or Makita UC4051A are rated 2kw cut considerably faster than the ms181 (1.5kw) The makita also ea4300 another option...

  22. Thanks excellent info shame there no whips around is it also due to the cultivars all being trade marked? Are you allowed to propagate them legally? EDIT see you mention this already soz. Seems a real shame TM stopping it
  23. Anyone bodged up wheels on a mower? Have an old mculloch that was junked as all wheels worn so bad they wooble and bind so it won't push anymore. Plastic has worn on the wheels against the axles (doesn't have bearings). Axles may of worn also, as used a digitial caliper and think axle standard is 1/2" but now they seem near 12mm? Shit wheel seems standard now for mowers as bearings or proper bushs than costr £2 each must be deeemd to expensive? Rest of mower in good condition new wheels cost £20 each axles £20 so thats £160 parts for a mower that was £260 new. So junk a mower coz wheel wooble...
