  1. Depends on the variety weather etc, 10 -12 weeks for first/second earlies but as above just try digging some up when the have began flowering. Being lifting/ eating charlotte spuds for the last 2 weeks in N Wales... Lighter soil warms up faster = earlier crops.The local farmer who does spuds every year, is on limestone. & was selling spuds roadside a few weeks before mine were ready. (Soil here is heavy clay)

  23. Keep meaning bother to try soaking the strimmer line see if it makes a difference. Dense lush grass thats flattened by rain / is hard going with the 3mm stihl stuff I have atm Fast in upright grass or weeds but once grass has fallen over annoying... Grass is is lusher and thicker this yr than average 100mm of rain in May last year was only 11mm.

Think having more power will equal more speed on both grass and bramble Does any other brushcutter cut this rapid? 3.3kw I only use a stihl 360 regulary with a mulching blade and its slow in comparison to above and the 3 point mulch blade is very poor on grass compared to strimmer line. Used the bigger stihl a while back and while faster than the 360 still slow compared to the "brutale" Do people sharpen mulching blades often and does it make a big impact?
