  1. 7 months, area TPO not confirmed, TPO covering agreed trees not yet confirmed as only month old.
  2. Area TPO applied after 211 notice received. TPO application month later on this area goes split decision. Month before lapse, individual trees TPOed in their own right minus the permitted fells. Area TPO lapses, other TPO now in force. Applicant fells trees after area TPO lapse. Technically, would the TPO app be invalid and cons area rules apply? I have a very specific question depending on answer to the above.
  3. Email their tree or planning department telling them you are going to do it and to what extent. Most will say crack on.
  4. Forgetting the works to TPO'ed trees, but are other treeworks required to implement the proposal technically pre-commencement as no spade in the ground?
  5. What does the Land Reg say? Find the title number, then look for register view and look at the Title Absolute. If there's no title number then feel free to cry into your hand.
  6. Jesus Christ.
  7. Please put us out of our suspense.
  8. You'll abba do better than that
  9. That doesn't look like Sheffield!
  10. Norway maple?
  11. Dorset surprises me as it seemed confined to the plantation to the west of Dorchester. Unsure if it was found further afield. Are you sure you aren't confusing dieback in mature trees relating to ploughing and other rooting area pressure with chalara? If it's in mature trees it should really be obvious in regen. It's well established in Hampshire though so only a matter of time before its positively recorded in Dorset. It's in Sussex although there are a few gaps left to fill if you look at the FC map.
  12. Looks like its had a hard life. Perhaps historic fire damage to the lower stem? Doesn't look too shabby up top though (although can't make out from the photo whether the union is compromised). Have you given the exposed wood a smack with a hammer? Jabbed anything in it yet? Retain as it is. Any reduction will surely limit its ability to deal with that damage and hurry it into its grave. Who's the customer? Enhanced level of re-inspection maybe on an annual, or annual and a half basis?
  13. Bung your TO an email so they don't waste time rocking up when a neighbour hears a saw.
  14. Have you done a land reg search yourself yet?
  15. Yeah for sure. It's a total ballache rushing out and finding this scenario. Proper waste of time and potentially pointless confrontation.
  16. In my day there were carrier bags full in the woods by the park!
  17. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CBwQFjAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rhs.org.uk%2Fadvice%2Fpdfs%2Fhoney-fungus-host-list-march-2014&ei=cBqMVKCDHM3Q7Aba6oG4Ag&usg=AFQjCNHgzL-x9snuJXO9SdEkrRhBVJRjZw Apologies, it was the rhs.
  18. Kew Gardens have provided a list of resistant and semi resistant species based on their research of their own trees. I'll post it up when I find it. I've given it to members of the public a couple of times and encouraged them to make a choice from a selection from it.

Really must get around to watching all of these this weekend.
  20. I think there's supposed to be a good welly avenue in minley too, where some of mosquito squadron was filmed.
  21. Are they visible on Streetview? If they are, that 'may' help your case, depending on how long ago the camera car went around, what time of year and how clear the pic is. It's a long shot, but would be better than nothing.
  22. Lister Wilder to south of Reading.
  23. Yeah i come across these situations on a regular basis. Quite often a pain in the backside. It's all alright having a tree down for matey who doesn't want it but then all the neighbours do want it. Do you know who the original developer was? If so, see if you can contact them and hassle them direct. Occasionally they are still in business and are helpful! Quite often there is an assumption that councils either own these bits of land or keep a record of who does, which isn't the case.
