I had a really good go on mine today on a big pop takedown which was very enjoyable and work nicely however I found that the hitch was getting very hot at times on decent and although I havnt checked it yet I think that I've eaten through my hitch cord (beeline) I'm using the recomended h/h hitch with 6 wraps on cougar blue any ideas anyone? Cheers luke

  9. Hi all millers I'm after a bit of advise I've just bought a 076 av for milling what size bar would be a good size it already has a 30 and 25 inch bar coming with it but think I'm going to want to put a larger bar on it at some point would the 46 inch sugihara bar be suitable I also need a mill I'm thinking the 48 inch or possibly 56? And my last question is where is the best place to purchase these items? Thanks in advance for any help much appreciated cheer luke
  10. Go for a rope around 11.7 and you will get the best of both worlds Yale blue tongue or tachyon are both really nice. I personally don't like the old sequoia as I felt it didn't have enough back support but the best thing to do is try befor you buy
  11. I would say you're right there squirrel. Did you have any issues getting the pin out as I've just tried to do mine and it feels like its going to round the head off
  12. Hi arron I had air streams and then went to haix I've had to pairs of protector extremes which I've found to be very comfortable lighter and warmer than the air streams also had 18 months out of both pairs great boot
  13. That's awesome we'll done Stephen
  14. If you go on the website james you can get a shipping estimate really easy
  15. Cougar all the way just bought me 200 foot from tree stuff and didn't think It was that expensive tbh. I've found it to be nice in the hand great with mechanicals and a hitch and very low stretch
  16. I'd say go for it mate I can't comment on how the hitch hiker works drt as I've only used mine srt but its a superb piece of kit. I had I quick play with mine today using the pinto for tending that old mill kindly posted and its very smooth much like a h/c. All I'd say is makes sure you know about the forces generated and rope angles before climbing srt
  17. I'd highly recommend the ct foot ascender very good I have no problem with the rope kicking out like some people have with pantin also I believe the teeth maybe less aggressive and on the petzel I may be wrong tho
