  5. Cheers guys have to say it is one of the bigger reductions I have done 29 m to the tips. Fair play to Tom I wouldn't have got it finished by myself

  7. I think if you got the art ropeguide you won't regret paying the extra money worth every penny it will save a lot of energy and great for choking around a stem.

  11. I bought some cougar at Christmas from tree stuff I think I paid $80 shipping but seem to remember the price of the rope was quite cheap so not the end of the world a great rope too

Hi all had my first real play on the uni at work this weekend on some big trees which at time was a real joy although a little daunting when using the uni for access I was using it in conjunction with a pantin hand ascender and a sling as a chest harness to tend the slack. My question is when making smaller moves during work positioning.around the crown what is the most affective way of tending slack I had a bit of a play with a rads system when going out on some long limbs which seemed to work ok. Any help or useful tips is much appreciated as I'm pretty new to srt and the uni Cheers luke
  15. Defiantly worth getting a rope guide and a thinner tightly woven line will help with tending
  16. Ali bashlins for me very comfortable light weight I too like the long gaffs. Bit pricey tho but should last you forever

  20. Art positioner with swivel is brill I came from micro and distel and much prefer the positioner as its very compact and predictable

  22. The CT is very good I'm new to the idea of using a foot ascender and have had very few probs with the rope popping out
  23. I have to agree I prefer the tree gaffs
