1. Hi all I saw this book on sale the other day and wondered what it was like I'm keen to learn as much about srt/ stwp as I can as at the mo this is the only place that I'm getting any info. So is it any good? Cheers luke
2. I second that the spiderjack with ropeguide is awesome very little rope ware. Not sure what the self tending of the zz 2 is like but the spiderjack is far superior to the 1
3. Nice idea but I'm with you Stephen
4. I don't think you will be disappointed
5.
Hi mate just seen that your from Sudbury I live in Glemsford if you don't mind me asking who do you work for and have you got much on at the mo

6. Yeh I'm the same old mill. My mate has got a petzel shunt which I think I'm going to try out over the next couple of days the adjustability of that seems to be very good
7. I've got the abr tether for the unicender which is a nice piece of splicing and adjusts nicely however I find that you can't get it close enough to you when it's at it's shortest point check out the videos that Richard Mumford has done on YouTube on the uni. When I asked him about adjustable tethers he said that he is currently using a device similar to a kong duck to adjust his tether and it works very well
8. Ah nice one Ben just what I've been looking for I didn't really want to drill holes in my brand new uni so I tried to attach it just using epoxy but its come off twice now so think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and use the rivets. As far as shipping goes Ben Richard was going to charge me $ 53 all in however he hadn't set up the pay pal for it so it ended up being just $ 45 he's a top bloke
9. Is anyone on here using the drum attachment and if so how did you go about attaching it cheers
10. I too thought that they were very heavy and quite cumbersome however haven't actually tried them in the tree
11. I use this cut a lot up a tree usually when I want the butt to kick off the hinge to avoid the butt end hitting obsticals below
12. Awesome guna have to look into that as its only round the corner from me
13. Out of interest where's that at he is awesome good choice
14. Got a unicender ,50m of cougar blue ,kong futura and a ct foot ascender ready for srt in the new year can't wait and want to climb now
15. Awesome just got my self some cougar for the uni:thumbup:
16. Fantastic decision made what ropes are you guys using Cheers luke
17. Ok cheers old mill you have given me something to think about now. Do you climb solely srtwp now then? And do you know of any arb talk users that still climb on the uni so I could maybe pick there brains
18. Hi old mill the answer to your question is yes I have but don't no a great deal a about either system and I'm new to srt however I've done some research into the uni and it seems to be a decent piece of kit apart from the wear issues but I was planning on using it with the drum attachment so it will hopefully illuminate this problem. I have been using a spiderjack for a while now and love it and as it is a mechanical that was another reason I looked into the uni maybe I need to have a look at these other options first though
19. Hi all think I'm going to do it and buy a uni is there a particular rope that would be best currently looking at kermaster and cougar blue any help is much appreciated Luke
