  1. I agree that's what I would do
  2. Mains gas is cheap but it kind of isnt on the other hand I've got a new combi boiler so it's pretty efficient but the fact it runs off a thermostat and you've got a wife that constantly adjusts the thermostat it's not as cheap as soild fuel
  3. Sorry I meant to say if you had to pay for all these fuels
  4. I just want to know what people find best value for money to heat your house? I've had a multi fuel stove installed at the beginning of November. I was paying around £60-£90 per month on gas to heat the house (depends on how cold it was) since I've installed the stove my gas usage has went down to £6-10 per month (heating water) I get my wood for free but if you had to pay for wood gas oil or solid fuel what would you choose? I'd go for solid fuel I can make a 25kg bag of ovoids last a week and a £7 a bag that's £364 a year. I could probably get that cheaper if I bought in bulk and through the summer I probably wouldn't burn at all. I don't have the facilities to use oil so I can't comment but if I was to put it in scale of price it would go; Wood Gas Solid fuel Just wanted to see different views on fuels that heat the house
  5. Na just that and some battery powered items

    441 or 461

441 seems like it's had its day I like the saw but for price I'd pay that little extra for a far superior saw (461)
  9. I've gave up with my 540 apparently a bent AV spring isn't warrenty anymore so I've bought a rough 200t and its off to spud to sort out, I'm using my first gen 201 and it's running quite nice at them moment (drilled exhaust and carb limiter removed)
  10. They have beefed the spring up It's not mine it's a lad I know who tests them a load of other little changes too new cylinder with different ports and a different software for the carb. I've never see it in action so I can't comment but I still see the same weak AV mount at the back
  11. You've missed the point completely doing a days work for free shows your potential employer that you'll do as much as you can gain employment
  12. If I was desperate I would do a days work for free if it helped me get a foot in a door I'd treat that day as further education
  13. You need to pester companies around you even offer to work for free, the best way to improve is to make mistakes and essentally you want to expend as little energy for the most gains up and down the same tree will knacker you it's about a 10 min plan When you're on the deck before you even put on a harness
  14. What was included in the quote? I was thinking of getting my loft converted next year. That quote is crazy expensive be better putting that money towards a bigger house
  15. 15in bar and it's an animal it suits an 18in better it feels more balanced, a lad at work runs a 20in and I can't tell the difference in power with my old 560 that ran a 18 and his 20in bar

  20. That's true I try to avoid mewps the landrover ones are terrible, our team runs a transit tracked chipper and a defender 90 But if we could only have one vehicle a mog with a pto chipper would do us. 9/10 you can get on the land as it should have been permissioned and organised properly Just wanted to add we cut resilience
