  1. Is it icing up? Is there a flap you can open to draw warm air into the carb? Is it that the time it takes to unscrew the fuel cap is long enough to thaw it out? Just a thought:thumbup1:
  2. Just let NoRush have a little rant every now and then, he'll get it out his system and then he'll be fine. Its only cuz he didn't get it to sell as firewood!
  3. I noticed that plastic bit. I assume it divides the carb in half with fuel and air on one side and just air on the other for the stratified charge.
  4. Nice one! never thought of that!
  5. With mig welders its not so much about the welder itself its the gas you use. If your welding steel get argosheild gas, much better results!
  6. In my experience its always the travellers who refer to climbing saws as 'topping saws' or 'toppers' !
  7. 9 times out of 10 its a clogged pump inlet, much easier to fix it with a T540 though!!
  8. Early 560's had there fair share of problems. Husky recognise this and i'm sure they would want to make things right.
  9. There was a mod with a carb that had a return to tank to stop vapour locking which caused hot start problems.

    064 woes

I had an 036 exactly the same intermittently. I tried changing the flywheel and coil for one off another saw which was known to be good and it was still the same. Once it started it ran fine. Never did get to the bottom of it! I put an elastostart handle on it which took the worst of the shock out of it and its still going well today.
  11. Definatley the best at the moment!!
  12. This is one of the many 4mix problems i've not come across yet! The pipe going to the filter case obviously recycles fumes from the tank so they can be burnt. Another case of legislation making things more complicated!! Would think if you stored them horizontally there would be no problem, but thats not very convenient. Lets face it if it wasn't for the legislation there would be no 4mix, and wouldn't the world be a better place then!!!!
  13. 5380408-09/5 and 5382298-34/6 are what you need assuming you've got the bit the blade fits on. Flymo dealer? or Husky dealer? Maybe!
  14. I can't comment on Stihl but the Husky dealer terms (discount etc.) are very complicated! It depends on how much you spend and what quantity you buy of certain items and also how you buy, if that makes sense. The best discounts I know of are for consumables, bars, chains, oil, files, clothing etc. We get nothing like 50-60% of spares or saws!!!!
  15. I think you'll that very soon Jonsered is withdrawn from this country completely! And the uk distributor for jonsered is now gonna be able to supply husky to the remaining jonsered dealers.
  16. I recently stripped down a 560xp which had a massive air leak in the crankcase. Unbelievably the piston n barrel was perfect, the autotune had compensated for the extra air!

    Dolmar

Try Midland Power 01905 763027. I know they do some Dolmar stuff.
  18. It does look like water in the oil but it doesn't make sense. Has petrol leaked past the float needle in the carb and filled the sump with petrol? That might explain it.
  19. If all you had was a 201t you'd need an axe as back up!
  20. Or do you mean Alpen??
  21. I agree!! Internet sales are great until something goes wrong! It really winds me up when people buy cheap elsewhere and when there's a problem they want me to sort it out! The 365 is a really good reliable saw, I recommend it all the time and have never known anyone be disappointed!
  22. Makita rep says there is no difference apart from the colour!
  23. No wind just a bit of drizzle in notts.
  24. I'd say Portek or Clarke. Both good value for money.
  25. Yes, I was told it was "no selling of stihl products at distance". We'll just have to see what happens. I wonder if any of the big internet dealers will challenge it?
