  1. Unfortunately Kawasaki garden have pulled out of the UK. We used to use Corby Kawasaki, they should know.
  2. Meetens specialise in this type of thing. Try K141 as well but knowing them if you say its a kohler on turner flail they will know exactly what model it is.
  3. Our shear grinder for sharpening garden shears!! Sharpening shears is so boring! I'd rather watch girders rust!!
  4. The early ones were plastic and used to break, when you ordered spares you got a kit with some of the bits made of metal. Ignore this, it would appear this was the 236 and other 2 series saws. The 450 is different.
  5. I know who's engine I'd rather have! Hint, it wouldn't have valves in that drop in the cylinder!
  6. The early ones were plastic and used to break, when you ordered spares you got a kit with some of the bits made of metal. It couldn't be the chain stretching could it???
  7. I don't think I've ever known a plastic one work! Get a metal one! We sell Oregon ones, never had a problem with them.
  8. That's inEGGcusable CRACKING like that. If you don't want to SHELL out for a new one try some araldite rapid.
  9. Looks like the same engine as the one fitted to the howard 350 rotavator, there should be plenty of info on them. K181 rings a bell but its only a guess.
  10. Ordered some yesterday, if they are impressed they will want to reorder. Will let you know.
  11. Machine care in Cumbria possibly, the uk's biggest jonsered fan!
  12. Hi, a customer of ours has seen some valorbe chainsaw file kits and was impressed! Who are the dealers in the uk? Cheers.
  13. Not heard that before. I know saws of a certain cc have different standards to meet, thats why the 346xp went up to 50cc it was then in a different emmisions bracket. Also there is a replacment for 3120xp coming soon. In my experience the the electronics on these new saws has been reliable, the problems have all been mechanical and the autotune has stopped pistons being ruined as they would in conventional saws.
  14. I think husky should revise the way they implement warranty work. If the product was bought mail order or from another dealer the company doing the work should be paid more because they haven't seen the profit from the original sale. Also if the repair is found not to be warranty the dealer makes a profit on the parts that are used. If the repair is warranty they are reimbursed at cost price, could this influence their decision???
  15. Good argument for not selling chainsaws in the box!
  16. That's exactly what I thought! Those spacers are white!
  17. Our Oregon rep called in today and I mentioned this. He thought there would not be any demand really for 058" stihl bars but 063" husky bars might sell to people wanting to use stihl carbide chains on a husky. Could be a niche there for someone!
  18. The third number of the Oregon bar part no. dictates the gauge of the bar. 0 is 050", 8 is 058" and 3 is 063" So if you swap the that number and do a search you might find something.
  19. The way I've done it in the past is to remove the plastic spacer on the left in your first picture and replaced it with a metal one which is just slightly longer. This takes up the wear and allows the lever to put pressure on the clutch assy again. The reason I did it that way is because the first one I took apart the plastic spacer had melted!
  20. Countax bought Westwood and then ran into money troubles. They were then bought by Ariens so now are American owned. That will be why there's been no development. I expected Ariens to rebrand their American built tractors with the Countax / Westwood brand so it could be worse!
  21. Yeah, pullers should get it off no problem, then drill out the pop rivets and all will become clear! If you've took the roller out check the bearings, they tend to seize up and wear through the shaft! And good luck putting the chain and tensioner back with all the spacers and washers etc!
  22. IMHO the only one to benefit from using mineral 2 stroke is the local repair shop. They might loose out on selling you a bit of oil but they'll make a lot more money replacing pistons in your saws!!
